Science and more specifically the psychiatric sciences have done alot of wierd experiemntations and studies over the many centuries its been a thing. i suspect alot of studies that didnt lead anywhere were simply not saved for future generations however.. stuff done after 1950 should be archived when done by proffessional institutions tho.. but who knows how much of that is classified or misplaced by now lol. with the shutdown of asylums across the world many decades past.. i suspect alot of data was simply lost forever :)

This whole story comes across like the plotline of a modern Lovecraft book.
Funny enough, lovecraft's work has everything to do with the occult, the monsters being archetypes of sorta, his way of conveying the "dark forces". Most likely that is the case. We tend to find meaning in the abstract and sometimes we attribute logic and reasoning in stuff that is just not connected at all.
It takes one very strong experience (negative or positive, not everything has to be negative to influence you), with you remembering something about it, a minute detail that would never occur even to you (numbers, shapes etc...) , for you to link everything to that detail. That is buried so deep into your subconscious that you cant even trace your mind to it.
If you grew out of it good. When it lingers it can drive you into a path of psychosis.

Reminds me of this time in life I felt like a wayward soul who was surrounded by mass deception and made an art project to convey how I felt. It started out being just some goofy website I made one night about a group of people that believe nothing is real as a sort of religion but eventually snowballed into something that was actually sabotaging my real life relationships because I was writing about the stuff enough that I was starting to actually believe it a little. As soon as my personal philosophies ended up getting muddied within the core joke of 'this is a philosophy about nothing being real so therefore this philosophy isn't real' I got a little insecure about how I was retroactively calling a lot of things I actually believed fake by shoving all those ideas in the bubble of a joke. That's when I started to backpedal and dissociate from the entire thing because this art project I made to make others feel the same type of confusion I felt was now confusing me even. I ended up making it explicitly clear I wasn't messing with the thing anymore and walked away from the whole ordeal feeling like I'd muddied up my entire footprint on the internet. Regardless I honestly feel just as deceived in mindset as the one I came in with combined with an added weight of this big cluster of shitposts that may just follow me wherever I go. Fun stuff!

@@Jason808Vance As someone who studies religion, mythology and occult in my free time, the worship of Saturn definitely comes up a lot if you read the posts made by Christian fundamentalists or those crazy people who think that we are ruled by lizards when they talk about the New World Order, but other than threads like this, you won't find anything about Saturn worship in our modern times, so I doubt such a cult exists. I think it's more likely that the guys who founded the Cult of Saturn chose this name because of all these conspiracies surrounding saturn worship which would strike fear to your average christian parents if they ever decided to do some research on it and read these conspiracy threads. And you know their main goal is to have the christian parents fear them because they mention fucking Aleister Crowley in this shit

Idk why but this reminds me of a trip I had in high school. I hadn’t used any drugs yet but got really into full contact larping. In that you make weapons from foam by layering them and glueing them together. The best glue and only glue I used was DAP Contact Cement. One day I was dumb and just did it in my room and must had left the DAP open and went to bed. My god those fumes fucked me up. I woke up in a sweat. I had this shape that I couldn’t not feel the rest of the night. It was an impossibly “rough” shape that made me almost vomit to imagine myself touching. Impossible grossly rough edges and the feeling that it was alien and un-comprehendible. I felt like everything was “rough” and had a hard time touching anything. Then I started thinking I had to solve it, find a way to get rid of the rough shape and make it smooth. This sounds dumb to say but it makes me almost feel it now saying it. I felt it everywhere but it seemed like it was coming from the nape of my neck and being put in my mind. A while later my mom woke up to me rambling in the hallway saying there were shapes, symbols and equations in my skin I had to solve to be calm but she put me to bed as I cried and shook from the inability to fix myself and my situation. I woke up slightly feeling it but just went to school..... still think about it and all the weird stuff in this video made me remember it for whatever reason. No other drug I’ve ever had made me feel that “foreign” in a weird Lovecraftian way. Feeling a way you SHOULDN’T be able to comprehend or understand as it’s too alien.
I still have weird sensations around certain people on the nape of my neck. Mostly good but some close to what I felt that night.

i've got a recurring nightmare similar to this. not drug induced, just happens when i overheat at night. when i wake up i feel like there's some equation or puzzle i have to solve. i'm connecting random things that don't make sense, but there's pieces missing and it makes me so frustrated, frantic and uncomfortable not being able to solve it. thankfully nothing bad has ever happened, since getting out of bed probably cools me down and brings me back to earth lol

Oh I vaguely recall when they used to advertise in the back of Kerrang! Magazine. I experience synchronicity quite regularly but do not wish to share the occurrences with others or perceive it as much more than amusing experiences :)
Edit: I should add that I have been diagnosed with anxiety, PTSD & a traumatic brain injury which has caused numerous psychotic episodes, hospitalizations & reality breaks. I no longer take any psych meds & am currently experiencing a level of serenity & mental stablity I haven't experienced in years. Wondering if the meds made it worse....
Who knows if they made it worse. But I'm guessing what made it better was getting into a better head-space, which probably isn't easy when your consciousness is actively fighting itself.
But also who knows, everyone's body is different, everyone has different reactions to different drugs. That's why there are lists of possible side effects with percent likelihood of them happening.
I've had that trouble with meds for focus. One worked super well, but I had the unlikely effects of utterly intolerable mouth dryness and inability to breath laying down. And then another was an antidepressant causing suicidal ideation.
If only side-effects didn't happen.
I have been experiencing synchros alot lately. The last one was last night, I was listening to a podcast and playing ffx remastered, it was a live podcast and I missed about 45 minutes so I went back to just after the intro, then I started leveling on the sphere grid in ffx. At the exact same moment I hovered over rikku’s bribe skill, the podcaster said bribe referring to politicians taking bribes. It’s silly but small seemingly unconnected coincidences are fun
