We've got Brent Johnson, Tracy Shuchart, and Albert Marko for this week's show. We're talking about the current state of the markets, the ongoing commodity bull run, and the implications of the Russia-China relationship.
Brent (@santiagoaufund) kicks off the discussion by analyzing the market's perception of risk, focusing on the low VIX levels, diminished inflation concerns, and the exuberance surrounding NVIDIA's earnings. He explores whether the market is fearless or simply fatigued, touching on the Federal Reserve's hawkish stance and the potential impact of the upcoming U.S. elections.
Tracy (@chigrl) digs into the commodity bull market, examining the reasons behind the rallies in metals like gold, silver, and copper, as well as the surge in agricultural commodities like cocoa. She addresses the disconnect between commodity prices and related stocks, and discusses the outlook for crude oil and natural gas prices.
Finally, Albert (@amlivemon) leads the conversation on the Russia-China relationship, unpacking the concerns surrounding their cooperation from military, technological, and economic standpoints. He examines their combined offensive and defensive capabilities, their ability to deter the U.S. in strategic regions, and their progress in the semiconductor industry.
Throughout the show, we explore viewer questions on topics such as the potential timeline for the "Milkshake" theory, the future of the U.S. dollar against the Chinese yuan and Japanese yen, implications for the VIX, and the potential market impact of the upcoming U.S. elections.
Whether you're a professional investor or an individual managing your retirement account, this week's show offers insightful analysis and discussions on critical market trends and geopolitical dynamics shaping the investment landscape.

I did! Thank you!
First time listening to these since retiring to Europe last year and reinforces how knowledgeable everyone is. I am wondering if the reason the music keeps playing is that treasury is de facto engaged in Modern Monetary Theory (MMT). Seems like they want the party to keep going indefinitely. To Brent's point think the market is implicitly hedging is by rotating aggressively into commodities.
Thanks so much for your kind note. 🙏
Yes it’s back!
Thanks! 🎉
Ok. Let's not give em Michigan please. Cali and Oregon OK!
But Detroitgrad is already there!
Dr anas all haji says sanctions won't work because non of them (governments) didn't stop their actions after sanctions. He didn't say sanctions can't have economic pressure!
