I got 107 gems from a mega box recently (I'm F2P) and I'm fulfilled enough with the box rewards. Honestly the big issue here is that the difference between the worst reward and the best reward in boxes in ASTRONOMICAL. You can get anywhere between 0 and 200 gems depending on your luck. It's not fair to all players :(
Hot take: modifiers are great for Ranked... for the most part. The issue I've encountered this season is that meta picks are chosen all the time. If you don't have it maxed or banned you're screwed, unless the enemy is very bad. This makes every match super account-dependent and repetitive. Modifiers allowed less powerful brawlers to shine, making matches more diverse, since you need new strategies. Now, the reason I said they're good for the most part is because not all modifiers are healthy for ranked. There's some that are straight up bad: namely Second Wind and Big Friend, which are just too crazy for competitve gameplay, some that need some tweaks, like Quickfire (recieve less ammo for each shot hit) or Timed Detonation (detonate slower and leave an untouched square, which could work if done right, and then there healthy modifers, like the new Healing Winds and Gotta Go Fast, and arguably Sick Beats, which promote certain brawlers without limiting the viable option pool too much. Another change they could recieve is having two/three matches of no mod, followed by one with mod, so that way people who struggle with mods can still reach high leagues, and perhaps remove mods entirely in Masters, since here people understand drafting perfectly and utilise different strats for enery match, keeping gameplay fresh. This isn't related to mods, but perhaps adding another rank might also make Ranked more competitive. If you read all of this, thanks a lot for hearing me out!
W statement but i think some mods are powerful this season being classic is good because next season where going to have frank berry combo in quickfire
I don’t really care if people like the boxes or not. I got all the brawl box purchases from the shop and I got all the skins I wanted. Brawl boxes came back just because the older players wanted to see it come back. I feel like it should of been obvious the devs would make it pay to win. And maybe the drops are worse but remember they aren’t the same boxes as they were before and they even said that.

They should just remove coins from upgrading brawlers to help combat this game's constant coin drought problem. Coins would still be extremely important since you still need gadgets, gears, starpowers and hypercharges. This change would also help negate the powerpoint overflow that me and many other players are facing and also makes powerpoints actually worth something.

Everyone seems to expect to get both the old and new progression system at once. Mega boxes being the same as the old days would be dubbel dipping the amount of resources we get. From my side dual progression sounds really great but I get why the devs can’t do that. Also if I missed the event and just got to hear that I could’ve gotten Twice the amount of progress then I’d frankly be mad. That’s how I experienced clash royals valentines event. Missed 6 months of grind taken away and then stopped playing.
i honestly would say removing brawl boxes was a good decision overall because if u think about someone could go like 1 year without getting a legendary brawler and right now u js need to finish like 3 brawl passes to get a legendary brawler so even though i love the exciting factor of brawl boxes i still do believe the starr road is better

Mega boxes are so good for me idk if I’m insanely lucky but I’ve got 2000 gold 1500 power points, Cornelius, surge, hank, 1000 bling and 5 skins so far
I got 2 hypercharge skins in a single brawl box, the third in a different box, and buster. I’m lovin mega boxes but ig I’m just lucky
no way ppl are so stupid that they complain about completely bonus free to play progression

I like the box event, it's nostalgic. i also got 100 gems from one of my boxes. Why are people mad about the event though? We get free stuff.
