10 seasons now and not a single encounter with any goverment, scientists or military (except in season 3 but they got killed off immediately by the governor) then it went with just surviving at some place and a crazy bad guy shows up and wanna kill them all for no reason.
Just to emphasize, in the new walking dead show “The world beyond” in season 2 the ending scene shows someone in france killing a presumed researcher and speaks in French “you caused this.” Then killing her, then the French man walks out closing the door and seconds after the researcher comes back infected, but the infected is much faster and stronger like evolved. This leads me to believe the “solution” only made the walkers stronger, faster, and overall deadlier.
I hope Rick's brother comes back after or before Michonne leaves to take Rick's place maybe Judith finds him rescues him and brings him back and didn't realize that was her uncle
The show was doing well until they started with the whole running into the wilderness and massive wars between human groups thing, like if it was some damn Game of Thrones shit. They also messed up Fear, Alicia is the only original-run character standing alive in the current season.
This was a great episode, i still go back watch it from time to time. If the French were about to find a cure it makes me wonder if their lab went up in flames just like the CDC did. Was about to post the same thing. The French are most likely to still have the facilities to research. As long as they have someone at the helm of their reactors, the lights will stay on. "Going dark" doesn't mean no power, necessarily. It means no communication.
Tbh this kind of represents the French government in WW2 in a very crude way. CDC Atlanta would be the government itself with higher-ups accepting defeat, CDC Paris would be the soldiers of whom fought valiantly.

These are the most interesting topics. And they left them to deal with uninteresting and repeating stuff, like where are the heroes going for a new home? Who are they gonna fight this time. The cdc, the French, the cure, how it all started. These are the stuff I would like the show to expand on
I still wonder about Fort Derrick in MD. It’s the US military equivalent to the CDC. Seems to me that there could still be military personnel/government officials there working. Dr Jenner never speaks of it but I do think it would or should be a factor. I also believe the Eugene was onto something when he states “weaponized diseases to fight weaponized diseases”. Even though Kirkman has said he knows what started the virus and the origins are unimportant, I cannot help but question.
I thought for a minute that eugene was a savior and was herding grouods to Washington but that wasn't true... I've wondered if began knows aloha and that's the recon he was preventing...he kept telling Rick it's gonna go bad...just saying ...
As time goes on, its less and less likely that fort Derrick is still in operation. If I'm correct the show has advanced 9 years after all out war ended in season. It's unlikely that fort Derrick could survive for that long without resupply or central command. Unless they had a captain chandler type leader, then I don't see fort Derrick as of right now being in operation. It's too unlikely and far fetched. However it would be interesting if they eventually do make it to fort Derrick and come across key research notes and experiments, giving the writers a pathway to an ending essentially but we will see.
Dugway Proving Ground in the Utah desert where a lot of Chemical and Bioweapons tests have happened in the past and present is a more logical place that scientists could've possibly survived. It's in the middle of nowhere like I think nearly 100 miles from Salt Lake City with the adjacent town of Dugway that's small and almost nothing but soldiers and thier families being the only thing for dozens of miles. I think the Army Scientists there also would have more mental fortitude than a lot of the CDC scientists, especially with thier families right there with them for all intents and purposes, I remember the CDC doctor said I'm pretty sure that several scientists in Atlanta at the CDC simply snapped and killed themselves with others having deserted almost at the immediate onset to try and get to thier families, with the soldiers families practically next door to the base and testing range you would probably see much more of a resolve of scientists to work on finding a cure Also while Ft Detrick sounds good again remember it's in that Atlantic Basin Megaopolis that runs down the majority of the Eastern Seaboard, there would be tens of thousand if not hundreds of thousands or even millions of zombies in mega herds roaming through there and while highly secure it would only be a matter of time before a huge group of zombies break through something less stout than the bulletproof doors and windows of the main research facility like say a loading door at one of the receiving docks at the Medical Center, also Ft Detrick is a larger town size installation right in the middle of the most dense population region of the country, the inner labs may survive but only for so long and I'd shudder to think if the power went off and the Bio Safety Level 4 Viral Vaults were possibly apt to rupturing, could only assume in TWD universe it had a self destruct similar to the CDC
Plot twist: Eugene is actually an allien disguised as human. Kirkman said the cause of the virus is allien. Couldnt Eugene be an informant for the alliens, he's always too scared to die, like he don't want to fail his mision. He's quite Smart, odd and too robotic, that dude is onto something for sure
Little did we know 4 yeas ago when you did this video, that in 2023 we would actually get a spinoff show about Daryl going to France where some of this actually took place and possibly started!
It drives me nuts how the group in TWD remains stagnant, they're always looking to find a place to settle and remain for months or years at a time. It raises the question if they stood a better chance just staying on the move from place to place, tyring to search for anywhere that may be safer than staying in the American South. Why not pack up and head for the Rockies or into the great plains? places where there are plenty of small isolated communities that even if overrun would be easy to clear out or have limited access due to geographic factors. Or why not take a boat and make for an island? It would be a hell of a messed up twist in the end to see the US military roll up and say that they've been in an isolated zone for years while the outside world has managed to get a better handle on things, like "Hey guys, you chose to live in the absolute worse area in the whole outbreak."
Exactly! I can see lots of communities in the mountains or deep in the prairies being safe, especially r even on the island like Guam, but parts of Hawaii, Okinawa, or even Alaska there barley anyone and that place is Huge.

Nothing in the comic I believe. In Fear the Walking Dead it is suggested it's something that first presented is self as a very virulent flu. That's just what they called it though. It may have had nothing to do with neither the flu or a virus. Flu symptoms is a fairly generic immune response. But like half the kids in school were home sick from "the flu" the week before all hell broke loose. This would also explain why humanity was so ineffective at fighting back. If half the population is too sick defend themselves, some probably even dying from the illness, there is going to be a lot of zombies very fast. Especially since they didn't understand that those people were actually dead, in the beginning. It probably took a few days before they gave up on trying to restrain them.
Miss Plebby Mc Pleb! Ironically enough, when Kirkman first presented the idea of TWD, people thought zombies were too cliché. He twisted the story and made it sound like the walkers were aliens. Funny enough, in an interview, kirkman actually jokes about the origins of the walker virus actually just being an alien invasion. Probably not how it’ll actually go down but a funny thought for sure!
Actually it could be their blood also. Remember when Simon attacked Hilltop with swords covered in walker blood and Tobin died/turned? You both have solid points, but Rick fell onto the grass.
i honestly really like the last episode in Season, one they come there in hopes that something from the old world might still be working but learns quickly that nothing lasts forever. it had a nice touch to it with the hole thing just exploding and them leaving in search for a New place... :/
Ideally, you want a maintenance easy long-term source of power. Problem so far is you can't generate the same amount in the same space with renewable energy so you'd need lots of more space or have solar roofs on every building to compensate, and maybe some more "wind parks". But the future is looking "bright", I heard that modern construction will likely mind solar roofing from the get-go so that means you become more independent.

Rick's not in France; he's in 'discount France' (i.e. Quebec). It wouldn't be that crazy. A lot of movies are filmed in Canada because it's cheaper than in America.
walking dead likes to do a lot of foreshadowing with subtle hints, one i thought might have some traction, is when jadis lcked a semi naked Rick in a container, rick looks through a hole in the container to see where he was....... the container label under the hole had a UK ID number.... perhaps he could have been sent off to the UK... it kinda fits with Andrew Lincoln wanting to spend more time at home..
Oh - when I saw the title “The Walking Dead Explained” I thought it would be an explanation about why TWD is still on the air having completely exhausted the premise of the show at least 6 years ago.
I was expecting Europe to recover from the infection and have a full on invasion and recovery of the North American continent or at least Us forces reconquering their territory but once it went mad max with zombies I stopped that’s been used too much in my opinion I like the fear a tad bettwr because we actually get to see the military fight and fall and everything go to shit besides the usually skip

The best of books... before the Bradaptation ruined the franchise
Yep me too
Well we now know the french were playing on hard mode
Imagine that, the French being the last to surrender? 😂
Lol right
They switched sides
Yep i believe it.
Thats impossible
Thats impossible
Maybe the post credit scene hint that we might get some scenes in France. Maybe Rick told the CRM about Dr. Bennett and how the French were close to a figuring it out. And maybe that's why Everytime Jadis mention Rick she labels him as someone with a lot of value.
Its very curious, that NYC has never been show in the serie...
NYC is also in the trailer of The World Beyond where they go out to find someone there.
Way too expensive to film there
@@cianmulvey5552 Bro, they filmed in LA...
@@springtrappooper9311: True

The scenes from the CDC are still some of the best scenes in this entire series. They should have done more of that and similar and not less.
yep - great scenes
WHAT ABOUT THE FRENCH is my new motto
I think the series will end by all the zombies decaying and rick finding the group
@@imposterblockade1826 ye thats true but it is said that 1 million people are still alive it us possible for society to rebuild if a cure was found but it would take centurys for humanity to rebuild

Scott Gimple and Robert Kirkman have stated that Rick's departure from the show is a permanent departure, therefor there is no chance of seeing Rick on The Walking Dead show again. In the movies? Yes. But not on the show.
@@collarelbow5183 he will be coming back on the show lmao
Gaming KnockeR Careful there buddy, you’re coming off like that got to you
Bro, this guy just predicted the future
Thanks for watching Albert!
This was a really informative video and I really enjoyed it.
Thanks!
10 seasons now and not a single encounter with any goverment, scientists or military (except in season 3 but they got killed off immediately by the governor) then it went with just surviving at some place and a crazy bad guy shows up and wanna kill them all for no reason.
In Soviet Russia , walker don’t bite you,you bite walker
🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
Just to emphasize, in the new walking dead show “The world beyond” in season 2 the ending scene shows someone in france killing a presumed researcher and speaks in French “you caused this.” Then killing her, then the French man walks out closing the door and seconds after the researcher comes back infected, but the infected is much faster and stronger like evolved. This leads me to believe the “solution” only made the walkers stronger, faster, and overall deadlier.
This aged like fine wine...
Thanks for watching!
I hope Rick's brother comes back after or before Michonne leaves to take Rick's place maybe Judith finds him rescues him and brings him back and didn't realize that was her uncle
Ricks brother?
@@RickJames1983 In the comics Rick has a brother, I believe they reference him in season 2 of the show?
@@dobson. that's crazy I missed that.
@@dobson. he may be dead tho if it's around the whole world
@@cuvsly Yeah, probably... he dies in the comics
The show was doing well until they started with the whole running into the wilderness and massive wars between human groups thing, like if it was some damn Game of Thrones shit. They also messed up Fear, Alicia is the only original-run character standing alive in the current season.
To be fair lot of the original actors wanted to leave the show. It wasn’t their fault.
You were right! With Daryl now in France 😮. Did you know but couldn't say 😂.
haha didn't know - Thanks for watching!
TS-19 was honestly my favorite episode
This was a great episode, i still go back watch it from time to time. If the French were about to find a cure it makes me wonder if their lab went up in flames just like the CDC did. We can only assume from what we know about the world in the show that the entire world is overrun expect maybe Greenland because of its cold climate.
or soviet russia?
@@comradedimitri2560 Well Russia hasn't been Soviet since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 but I do see your point. Colder countries like the top of Canada, Norway, Russia and others probably still got hit hard but because of the colder climate there I'm sure they have more survivors.
"I would love to see a spin-off series, in the future, even if it's three or four years from now, that is set in France and tells that story of the beginning..."
Duide, you're a prophet! This video was four years ago! Now... can we get some stock market tips, please? :D
haha yep I wish - thanks for watching!
That's was an awesome episode nostalgic .
Now im here after twd world beyond post credits like damn jenner looks so smart compared to the crm scientists 😂
I am about to upload a quick review video on Episode 10 - stay tuned!
You were on to something here, way before the World Beyond finale
Thanks!!
Well glad we can spot Norman Reedus in France at this time so you gonna see it finally with his spin-off
yep!
Just a remark, electricity in France doesn't run on diesel, but mostly on nuclear.
The CDC was the best episode in the entire series. It's sad they act like it never happened now.
Aha!!! So now Daryl may answer this! Good foresight James!
Thanks!!!!
This aged well.
with the spin off of Daryl being in Paris....I wonder if it circles back around to this.
yes - it already has with the post credit scene form World Beyond S2 - here is a video I did on it - ua-cam.com/video/lln0IdjhufI/v-deo.html
and also

Man i wanna see what happened so bad !!
Maybe the people with the helicopters is the French and they have Rick I just watch that episode early this morning on firestick and I noticed he said to French and it's so funny I watched it this morning and you're bringing it up
@Noot Noot Wants Noose Noose mercenary ?
@Noot Noot Wants Noose Noose Who said he was american? Accent doesn't mean that much. I'm European and my accent is american.
@Noot Noot Wants Noose Noose Lithuania...
@Noot Noot Wants Noose Noose No. Lithuania is an independent country, idiot. You are so ignorant...
However it would be interesting if they eventually do make it to fort Derrick and come across key research notes and experiments, giving the writers a pathway to an ending essentially but we will see.
curtis aguinaga no more like 7 years, cause season 9 began 1.5 years later, then jumped 6 years
Dugway Proving Ground in the Utah desert where a lot of Chemical and Bioweapons tests have happened in the past and present is a more logical place that scientists could've possibly survived. It's in the middle of nowhere like I think nearly 100 miles from Salt Lake City with the adjacent town of Dugway that's small and almost nothing but soldiers and thier families being the only thing for dozens of miles. I think the Army Scientists there also would have more mental fortitude than a lot of the CDC scientists, especially with thier families right there with them for all intents and purposes, I remember the CDC doctor said I'm pretty sure that several scientists in Atlanta at the CDC simply snapped and killed themselves with others having deserted almost at the immediate onset to try and get to thier families, with the soldiers families practically next door to the base and testing range you would probably see much more of a resolve of scientists to work on finding a cure
Also while Ft Detrick sounds good again remember it's in that Atlantic Basin Megaopolis that runs down the majority of the Eastern Seaboard, there would be tens of thousand if not hundreds of thousands or even millions of zombies in mega herds roaming through there and while highly secure it would only be a matter of time before a huge group of zombies break through something less stout than the bulletproof doors and windows of the main research facility like say a loading door at one of the receiving docks at the Medical Center, also Ft Detrick is a larger town size installation right in the middle of the most dense population region of the country, the inner labs may survive but only for so long and I'd shudder to think if the power went off and the Bio Safety Level 4 Viral Vaults were possibly apt to rupturing, could only assume in TWD universe it had a self destruct similar to the CDC
Oh how the turntables…
TS-19 my favourite episode, cannot wait for more!
Whos here after the world beyond season finale?!
Haha right here
Plot twist:
Eugene is actually an allien disguised as human. Kirkman said the cause of the virus is allien. Couldnt Eugene be an informant for the alliens, he's always too scared to die, like he don't want to fail his mision. He's quite Smart, odd and too robotic, that dude is onto something for sure
Fr but idk
The new Daryl show making that 4 year gap you said correct
This aged WELL
* Spoiler Alert 🚨
The French created it…in France. “Les morts don’t nés ici/ The dead were born here.”
Adding to the "This aged well" comment chain
Little did we know 4 yeas ago when you did this video, that in 2023 we would actually get a spinoff show about Daryl going to France where some of this actually took place and possibly started!
One of the few predictions I got right haha - Thanks for watching!
I'm imagining Walkers wearing yellow vests.
What are the odds this was recommended now lol
I say all the time...if you look too deep at TWD it starts to breakdown. And you don't have to even look deep haha
Exactly! I can see lots of communities in the mountains or deep in the prairies being safe, especially r even on the island like Guam, but parts of Hawaii, Okinawa, or even Alaska there barley anyone and that place is Huge.
The French use lots of nuke power, can you imagine all the Meltdown's
Even if every French power plant operator simultaneously died they likely have enough automated protocols to stop another Chernobyl.
@@PhoenixFires I believe EU still there
@@PhoenixFires we have a few power plant that where supposed to be shut down years ago, deemed unsafe and too old by a lot of report, being pushed by the government for another 30year
So post apocalyptic France with a quick death of the worker there could be catastrophic
@@Komyeta the EU is shit they can’t do anything about the simplest thing. They argue over who gets the final slice of pizza for gods sake. There would be no way they could survive the walking dead
Does Kirkman know how the walker virus started, has he ever hinted at it? or hasn’t he figured that out himself yet?
He hasn't figured it out, he doesn't want to.
I'm pretty sure he said he knew what it was and said something like it was very boring! but to me thats just a cop out.
Izuela the FTWD is different than the walking dead
Miss Plebby Mc Pleb! Ironically enough, when Kirkman first presented the idea of TWD, people thought zombies were too cliché. He twisted the story and made it sound like the walkers were aliens. Funny enough, in an interview, kirkman actually jokes about the origins of the walker virus actually just being an alien invasion. Probably not how it’ll actually go down but a funny thought for sure!
This video aged well! After that world beyond episode
Thanks ZigZag!
“Got close to some type of solution” they made the walks hard mode. I love it
The french close to a solution = Frenchman holding a glass of wine.
French being French and soon being France while being French
“It was the French who held out the longest”
Says the guy who was still doing experiments at the cdc
haha yep
The fact that Rick goes down a river bank and all that zombie blood is in the water, how is he not dead and turned before he flies off
In the tv show its the bactetia in the mouth that infects you not their blood
@@mexicanhero1999 still doesnt make sense seeing as how everyone has it, seems more airborne, including the other ways
Actually it could be their blood also. Remember when Simon attacked Hilltop with swords covered in walker blood and Tobin died/turned? You both have solid points, but Rick fell onto the grass.
Fun fact: France is a few decades behind the US in medicine so I think we are all screwed lol
the French have many of the most important labs in the world
That Doctor at the end of Season 1 did reveal a lot to our group! It happened the way it was supposed to.
i honestly really like the last episode in Season, one they come there in hopes that something from the old world might still be working but learns quickly that nothing lasts forever. it had a nice touch to it with the hole thing just exploding and them leaving in search for a New place... :/
Moral of story :
Use renewable energy for electricity
Ideally, you want a maintenance easy long-term source of power. Problem so far is you can't generate the same amount in the same space with renewable energy so you'd need lots of more space or have solar roofs on every building to compensate, and maybe some more "wind parks".
But the future is looking "bright", I heard that modern construction will likely mind solar roofing from the get-go so that means you become more independent.
Well the French do have a lot of pride. Maybe that’s what kept them going
Watching this 3 years later when he says "it would be interesting to see a spin off maybe set in france even 3 or 4 years from now".... ooook. Is this guy also a writer on the Simpsons? 😂
haha - it is cool that we are getting one - looking forward to Raise the Dead - Thanks for watching UK Guns!
@@TWDExplained no problem! I have found your breakdowns really interesting! Keep it up!

yep - would suck to be over since the start - harder to survive
Maybe one day we will have a walking dead spin off in france
See now that was interesting.
Now it's watch them get around some conflict for 10 episodes
I think the tales of TWD will have an episode about the French … but isn’t it crazy how years n years later here we are back on the French 🤔
Two years later and you were right
Rick's not in France; he's in 'discount France' (i.e. Quebec).
It wouldn't be that crazy. A lot of movies are filmed in Canada because it's cheaper than in America.
Man I'd like to see them go back to this in the movies
walking dead likes to do a lot of foreshadowing with subtle hints, one i thought might have some traction, is when jadis lcked a semi naked Rick in a container, rick looks through a hole in the container to see where he was....... the container label under the hole had a UK ID number.... perhaps he could have been sent off to the UK... it kinda fits with Andrew Lincoln wanting to spend more time at home..
I can't wait for an update after world beyond ended 😮
I have a What Did Jenner Say and What Did the French Say videos
Oh - when I saw the title “The Walking Dead Explained” I thought it would be an explanation about why TWD is still on the air having completely exhausted the premise of the show at least 6 years ago.
The character struggle....
the show didn't deserve that roast bro. It's already bad enough XD
I loved the CDC episode! The Dylan song at the end was perfect!

Great video man
Thanks!
This video is super relevant to

why not use zombies as perpetual motion machines since they are goddamn magic
kewltony we dont use the word zombies
