These two straight actors are giving me the most wonderful queer representation I could ever ask for. I love this, and aside from that toxic fandom this ship - as Lou have said -thriving!
Oliver has been great at graciously fending off homophobes and trying to portray his new side in interviews I read a touching interview from Tommys actor too - Lou Jr - (Whitney Evans- TV Fanatic) He mentions trying to get more into a strong but soft character instead of jerk tough guys and the Last of Us episode with the older male couple inspired him a lot
Buck by far its my fav on the show. And this is the happiest I’ve been seen in 7 seasons, so I’m on board with this and I don’t care what’s buddies Stan don’t like Tommy and want to prove in each frame how Eddie is jealous or faking a smile. Just be happy for Buck.😊

I don’t think the writers of this show would go with the “bury your gays” trope for them. I am very optimistic about their future to be honest. The writers and Oliver wanted this storyline for a long time and so far had been treating it with so much care that I don’t see them having a sad or tragic ending. I could be wrong of course, but queer love stories have been handled quite well in the recent years, most of them had happy endings. Let’s hope this one is also a happy ending

It feels like everything FINALLY clicked! Everything just feels right in every single sense! 😍 Although, I can't deny that once - yes - I really rooted for some romantic development between Buck and Eddie, but... Well, I believe that all viewers who are from the queer community, as well as the allies, are fully aware of what was being made of this previously! So, to be brutally honest, the prospect of the characters Eddie and Buck becoming a couple was largely manipulated and worn out and, regrettably, ended up losing its appeal... 😔 I mean, at least for me! Because, I personally didn't like being so blatantly disrespected as an audience when - surprise, surprise! - the show depends precisely on the audience to stay on the air! Having said that, I can't help but admire and be immensely grateful to ABC for all the initiatives taken in relation to the development of the script! I just hope the pattern remains, along with all the new decisions for the current canon! Because, even though I can't help but grieve for Buddie, it's something I've decided to let go of! 🥺
The way Buck looks at Tommy (and even Eddie, sometimes) is very much different from the way he looks at his girlfriends. He looks so much more interested in Tommy and Eddie, the way his body seems to be more animated, the way his expressions shift subtly. Oliver is a really great actor.

The way Buck looks at Tommy (and even Eddie, sometimes) is very much different from the way he looks at his girlfriends. He looks so much more interested in Tommy and Eddie, the way his body seems to be more animated, the way his expressions shift subtly. Oliver is a really great actor.
