But thankfully DNA Design made an upgrade set that brings the playability for all the modes up to par quite easily including the combiner combining sword. Which reminds me. Weapons combining to become larger weapons for combined mode is actually old hat for 3rd party and official toys. For example there is a megazord that has its weapons for the smaller zords that combine to become it's big combiner sword. for the robot combined form, and the tale for the dragon combined form. (It's the megazord that has the witch's hat( And I know the DNA design upgrade kit gave the power of the primes Predaking a set of weapons that combine into a huge sword too. 5:25 It's the Seacons (Piranacon is the gestalt form), and yeah, I was just thinking of Skalor and Overbite as you were transforming him... 8:25 I'd say more like scimitars... 12:40 The Core class Volcanicus has Grimlock as a leg... though admittedly a good chunk of that is because he's also been redecoed into Dinoking's Goryu. I think quite a few third-party combiners have combining weapons; in fact I think one of the original 3P Predaking had a set quite similar to yours. I don't think it's a direct copy, but they're similar. I also like the ones that came with the Prime Cyberverse Terrorocons; between them they came with two hammers, two crossbows and a kind of chainblade blaster, and you can combine them in quite a few different forms for their Abominus mode (my favourites include a double-barrelled rifle, and giant twin-bladed axe). I'm actually working on 3D-modelling larger designs inspired by them for my PotP Terrorcons. I also a have a mini dinosaur combiner that I got last year on a Korean trip. I don't recall how much, but I think again, probably equivalent to $10-15. It's super-simple, and _feels_ in a lot of ways like a cheap Chinese set, but it's very playable. It consists of a brachiosaurus (which ultimately forms the torso), a triceratops (which splits to form the arms), a tyrannosaurus and a stegosaurus (who each form a leg). Some of the robot modes are a bit derpy, but I have a feeling I'll be able to punch up the coolness factor with a few touches of paint (missed details like visors etc)... They also come with a plethora of weapons, some of which form parts of the dino modes, some of which are extra armaments, and every robot has a weapon. But those weapons can also combine, and by the time the dinos actually merge, they have more swords and blasters than they know what to do with!
