I have a GRBass One 800 but I'm seeking the "ampeg grit sound". Question is: for an allround sound but also the "ampeg thing", is it better the GRBass (and pedals for the ampeg sounds), an Ampeg Venture V7 or this Quilter?
I'm a little conflicted. I have an 802 and like it, but I'm not sure if the 803 actually suits my needs any better. The mode switch is cool, and the semi-para mid band is cool, but on my 802, I use both mid bands often. I suppose I could get away with just one, but it's something I would have to play with.
I have the Quilter Interbass (45watt) in my studio and it's the best amp I ever had, I love it Combined with one 10-inch Eminence speaker It's perfect for recording, practice and jamming. If I still was a touring musician I would buy the 803 without testing, but since I've stopped doing gigs I have no use for it (other than annoying my neighbors ).
That's all pretty interesting. For some reason I was thinking that Quilter had gotten out of the bass amp business. Obviously I was wrong.

If I didn't already have the 802 I would get the 803 . My 802 pushes a Darkglass 1000w 2x12 just Beautifully !

Did you say it switches to 500w at 4 ohms? Which setting is that, the warm? Interesting
