Great video Maic. I have the AESWave terminal kit and wondered how I survived without it...it is so handy and makes life easier.
Hayward's Automotive agree, that set is amazing. I use it everyday. Thx for watching
I have a 20o5 Scion xB and I scanned it and the code is B1181 Open in D squib 2nd step circuit so does that mean it’s the clockspring? I ask because I know there’s 4 things it could be but I see other peoples codes that will say 1118 or other codes and it means a specific part in the srs system. So I just bought this car last week and the owner removed the passenger seat in the past and put it back in so idk how long the code has been on but the connectors are all on. My horn works as well.
Thanks bro. That was great tutorial how to work on air bag system. I am not sure what is different between simulator and resistor. I thought that simulator is resistor . Thanks bro.
KY Home Garage KY Home Garage it is a resistor. They name it simulator just to make people understand the purpose for it.
Great video Maic
Impressive sir, great diagnostic video, thank you!
MAIC great video bro. I have the aeswave kit. It's a must have kit. Can you do a video one day on how to use the variable resistor on TPS or anything else It can be used with. Thanks for all that you show us.
SKO NYC I will pretty soon show the variable resistor uses. Thx for watching
Would also like to see. Thanks for posting.
Good morning, I just wanted to ask one thing, I'm sorry, I'm not an expert, but just to be clear, the airbag simulator is only placed in containers that don't have short circuits. thanks a lot
Thanks again
Very interesting diagnosis Maic. Thanks!
Baxrok2 thank you!!
This was a great video of this with a great way to verify. Thank you! Do you happen to know the resistance value of your simulator you used?
For this one 3 ohms. You can use 2.5
Hello what’s the simulator you got? Also there is different ones I can get thanks
Hi. I have the same issue. I do not have the simulators. How can I test the cables from the connector all the way to the computer without the simulator? Can I try measuring continuity or something?
That is just a 3.2 ohms resistor. I would recommend get some and tested properly
@@MaicSalazarDiagnostics ok. Thank you!
how much was the new clockspring? thanks.
RL Agito no idea! I don’t buy parts. Maybe look in Autozone
I bought mine on e-bay 2 years ago for like $20....my brother installed, saving me $700 Toyota dealership wanted.
Clocksprings for older Toyotas like this are super cheap. I see them for less than $30 online. The dealership will totally rip you off
