@5:30 you state that water can channel where you don't want it to go. Do you mean that the water changes the channel to a different youtube channel where you don't want me to go or do you mean that you can channel the spirit of water but it takes you someplace you don't want to go? I'm confused.

Can you really program the preinfusion on this machine or you can just turn it on and off? I am asking because on some other reviews they said that you can just turn on/off the pre-programmed preinfusion of 3 seconds.
Hey there. Does this machine have the option of being run on say a 10 kg gastank? Im thinking of getting this one for my mobile coffe-shop. You think it could be a good choice? Lets say I hppe to make 100 cups a day in 8 hours or so?
I'm a coffee roaster and use it a demo machine. It's a bit late to answer your question but as a long time owner who use this machine both as a daily driver and in a more professional setting, I can say that 100 cups is too much abuse for this machine. I think 80 is already it's upper limit. In your setup as a mobile coffee shop, it's main pros are obviously its killer looks and small footprint but you have to know that the musica is a lot of round edge and thus hard to strap down. It gets visibly dirty super quick so there is a lot of cleaning up involved in making a lot of coffee with this machine (especially with naked portafilters). The steamwand tip has an edge that makes it hard to clean rapidly, you'll have to unscrew it and clean it thoroughly pretty often. Otherwise it's very good and the workflow is awesome. I love this machine but if you really expect 100 cups a day you might have to consider other machines.
So this or the Arduino Eagle 1 Prima for home? What would you guys recommend? Different price points but this looks like it can deliver what the Eagle 1 Prima can deliver. Or can it?
I've had a musica for about 5 years and it's probably never leaving my brew bar. I'm a coffee roaster and frequently use it as a demo machine for my coffee. It brews excellent coffee and can run decently even in pro settings (like a small coffee shop). It's main selling points are absolutely gorgeous aesthetic (I've got the LED version), quick to come up to temp (you can start running decent shots after 10 to 15 minutes and they get better as the grouphead and portafilter also heat up), excellent steam pressure and very decent footprint for such a high end machine. Main cons are: hard to keep clean (definitely keep rags nearby especially if you want to run naked shots as it will splash coffee everywhere), the steamwand tip has a small edge that makes it hard to clean, the grouphead screen is held with a huge screw that will dent your puck and ruin your prep, it's very easy to fix though as you only need to find a flat head of the same size). Really the only downsides are smallish issues mostly inherent to the full metal aesthetics. Everything else is absolutely ideal for anyone who wants high end without unreliable fancy tech at a decent price.
This machine would do great for catering as you can choose between filling the tank reservoir or plumbing it into a larger portable water tank. Keeping in mind it is a single boiler heat exchange system so it is very fast and efficient but may require a minute or two between drinks to come back up to temperature with heavy use. We would recommend this machine for low to moderate commercial usage. Check out some of our two group machines if you feel you may serve higher volumes. Thanks for the question!
