  • what's up UA-cam in this video I am replacing pads and rotors and brake pad wear sensor pretty simple job basic tools is all you need if you don't have a power probe you can just remove the back cover of the electronic brake caliper and use a socket and just twist clockwise or counterclockwise until you can compress the piston

    Great video! When you removed the brake sensor it appears that a metal clip was holding it but I didn’t see the metal clip when you installed the new one.

      Hi, the metal clip is part of the sensor. It came off the old one..and the new one already had it on..

    I really liked the video. We don't accidentally burn the motor or reverse action, do we? I'm not a mechanic. I like to take care of my vehicle myself. Thank you for video.

    Is that the only way to retract the pistons?

      No you can retract it with a T50 socket I believe as well when you remove the motor off the caliper. Once you do that you can push the piston back like regular caliper piston

    Great video, I am looking to do this on my 2019 xdrive25i. Did you need an OBDB2 tool to reset anything with the ECU? Also is their a sensor cable on each wheel?

      @zucan100 What's up boss no I did the reset on the car. Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/5eOHB8tGjhY/v-deo.htmlsi=eDziGmMnmTTwPto4. And I believe there's one sensor for the front and two in the rear ..it's Ben awhile, haha 😄

    Is this for the rear brakes? Do you need a power probe for the front caliper pistons?

    • @luckysdiygarage
      @luckysdiygarage  11 місяців тому +3

      Yes this is for the rear breaks boss... No, you don't need a power probe for the front calipers.. The rear brakes have the electronic parking brake 🙂

      Using BimmerLink does the same as the probe right? And do you open the bleeder when compressing?
