I’ve legit been in this situation with guys. For the record, we know what’s happening and we feel awful. A lot of women stay in such friendships because they don’t understand how to get out of them. Personally, I just cut contact when guys start crushing. It sounds mean, but in my experience when you explain they tend to become resentful or they lie and pretend like they aren’t into you, but really they’re just hoping you’ll come around. I feel bad for him, I hope he finds a gal who’s right for him.
