- Edson Lopes is one of the most important and awarded Brazilian classical guitarists of his generation. Having won several international prizes and competitions, Edson now has an intense activity as a solo performer and as a chamber musician. Besides, he has been frequently invited to adjudicate international guitar competitions in countries such as Germany, Brazil and Portugal. It is therefore a great joy for us to share one of his videos as part of our Siccas Media program.

O prelúdio BWV 1006, no meu entendimento, está entre as mais complexas e difíceis transcrições para o violão das partituras de J.S.Bach. A esta dificuldade soma-se também a beleza da melodia construida sobre um constante desafio técnico. O maestro Edison Lopes é preciso. Executa a obra com exatidão, clareza e limpeza a cada nota. Impõe o andamento necessário, permitindo que cada frase seja ouvida em todo seu esplendor. BRAVO !!!!
