My maternal Great grandfather late Mr. Valliappa Chetiar from Pallathur Karaikudi migrated in Srilanka for business purposes, then my Grandfather was born in Srilanka, he was a very popular successful businessman he had contact with Tamil Nadu, in fact my mother completed her studies in India at that time. But from my grandfather's generation all got mixed with Vellalar cast in Srilanka. Currently fourth generation all are spread around the globe.

I did research on Nattukottai Nagarathar in 1978 and I felt I did not do a good job and ever since whenever I get time I continue to do research in various places including archives. There are very many theories not only for nagarathar but general Tamil history and genealogy and geologist findings and the history of Kumari Kandam by various underlying truth are coming out. It is very important to know where you came from and I believe there were only people known in early ancient history the king and the trading people which includes Sindhi Merchants and chettiars whoThey were in fact interrelated.

Nice presentation..🙏 one small clarification it was said around 7th minute or 9th minute that caste system was created 2000 year back..when agriculture started..but later in the video it is stated chettiars migrated from naganaadu 7000 years back...so if caste system was formed 2000 years back..how did chettiars as a caste existed 7000 years ago?

Some ancestors of chettiar might have migrated from Naganadu 7 kya. Different streams of migration from different directions converged at a meeting point, mostly accidentally, stayed there due to cordial people and ideal ecosystem, and started exchanging mates. Thus the clans and hence a caste was formed 2 kya. Subsequent streams also came and joined similar way. Send me ur email address. Will send softwood of the paper.

Caste might not have existed before 2000 years, but clan groups did exist. Eventually as centuries passed, clan groups too got divided into several sub groups as new technology and lifestyles emerged. Therefore the mention of 30k years need not specific to nagarathaars but might be the general lineage of most people in the South.

Excellent presentation. ! As you said human race in Indian sub continent evolved by the Geographical phenomenon of Continental Drift. Thus Africa as well as other continents drifted away just like peeling off Orange skin. Andamon islands once formed part of Africa. Andamon islands' unique race in certain forbidden zones does certify this. Nagarathar has a physique characterastic of African in well built body with calm posture. So their migration from Burma corroborate this.
Continental drift happened over millions of years, human migration in thousands of years. There could have potential changes in coastal line but not per se continent location when these human migration happened.

I live in USA and read lots about Kumari Kandam and South Indian history since I finished my M.Phil in history I read lot more history books and Indians American life style depends upon the ways that they were raised. Not all Indian are the same. And all the statistics and the life style given about Americans aren’t true , it is the same and they are forward in their thoughts and not 50% of the people getting divorced. My father (deceased) was a chettiar and had brought us all up with integrity and values of life both Chettiar & Nair believe. Both seems to be the same and the genes of Chettiars passed to the next generations and lot to adopted children and their sons and daughter. In this age you should not be forcing those beliefs to your next generations.Let them be free to think , without any stress because of the community pressure they are depressed and dissatisfied with their lives and you don’t have the right to question me what I think and do. I see how much the younger people are suffering.Be real and don’t be living in the past
I agree with u. Psrents plays crucial role. These were statistics available. I tried to high light the plight of youngsters. They need to be trained to take conscious and informed decisions, and not by peer pressure to excel and earn, earn. U may agree that for everything there us a bell shape curve. Good and bad are relative. It is the perception of the society where u live. Nonetheless, u may agree emotional comfort is essential for good health of individual and society.
U are very much right. Should not force ur ideologies on children.if Acquired characters are not inherited. However children imbibed values from family and society environment alike. And it becomes parents responsibility to guide and make the children successful. No parent, good parent, wants to throw his/her child to dust bin. Teaching and bringing up to see the chick to fly free is mother/parents role - through animal kingdom. Man may not be, cannot be different from that - for Msnkind to survive.

Seeing the vidoes of Indians in USA, especially the wormen and elder Indians there I can see how lost they are in a country and Western community they cannot integrate with. Cultural orphans.

சித்தர் திருமூலர் ஆரியம் என்ற சம்ஸ்கிருதம் தமிழ் இரண்டு மொழிகளையும் சிவ பெருமான் உமைக்கு போதித்தார் என்று சொல்லி உள்ளார்..... இந்தியாவின் 18 மொழிகளையும் படித்தவர் தான் பண்டிதர் என்று சொல்லி இந்தியாவின் 18 மொழிகளையும் சிவன் சொல்லியது 18 மொழிகளையும் படிக்க வேண்டும் என்று சித்தர் திருமூலர் சொல்லுகிறார்....தமிழ் ....தமிழ் என்று சொல்லி மொழி வெறி பிடித்து இரு என்று சொல்ல இல்லை.....
திருமூலர் மேலும் பழங்கால தமிழ் 50 எழுத்து வடிவம் கொண்ட மொழியாக இருந்தது என்று சொல்லி உள்ளார். சித்தர் திருமூலர் இதை ஆதி எழுத்து என்று சொல்லி உள்ளார்.இந்த ஆதி எழுத்து வடிவில் இருந்து தான் வேதங்கள் ஆகமங்கள் எல்லாம் தென்னிந்தியாவில் பிறந்தன என்று சித்தர் திருமூலர் சொல்லி உள்ளார். ஆதி காலத்தில் தமிழில்(தற்பொழுது உள்ள தமிழ் , மலையாளம், தெலுங்கு ,கன்னடம் எல்லாம் உள்ளடக்கி இருந்த மொழி) ஷ ஹ ஸ போன்ற எழுத்து வடிவம் எல்லாம் இருந்தன......அதன் காரணமாக தான் தமிழ் தவிர மற்றைய இந்திய மொழிகளில் 50 முதல் 52 எழுத்துகள் உள்ளன...... நல்ல தமிழ் அறிவும் மலையாள அறிவும் உள்ளவர்களுக்கு சம்ஸ்கிருதம் மொழி செந்தமிழ் மொழிக்கு முன்பு இருந்த பழங்கால தமிழ் என்பது விளங்கும்....

தொல்காப்பியர் தொல்காப்பியம் எழுத்து அதிகாரம் பிறப்பியல் கடைசி இரண்டு சூத்திரங்களில் தான் சொல்லிய இலக்கண விதிகள் வெளிப்படையாக பொருள் உணர்த்தும் விகாரம் என்ற உணர்வுகளை வெளிப்படுத்தும் வைகரி ஒலி சொல்களின் எழுத்துகளுக்கு மட்டுமே என்றும் வேதங்களில் உள்ள பரை, பைசந்தி, மத்தியமம் என்ற மந்திர எழுத்துகளுக்கு தான் இலக்கண விதி சொல்லவில்லை என்றும் சொல்லி உள்ளார்.இதில் இருந்து தமிழில் 31 எழுத்துகள் தவிர மற்ற பல எழுத்துகள் உண்டு அவை எல்லாம் வேதங்களில் உண்டு என்று தெளிவாக தொல்காப்பியர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

வேதங்கள் என்பது குறிப்பிட்ட ஒலி அதிர்வை உண்டாகும் வகையில் முனிவர்கள் ரிஷிகள் வெளிப்படுத்தியவை...... இலக்கண ரீதியாக எழுதப்பட்டவை இல்லை..... அதன் பொருள் மறைந்து இருக்கும்..... அதனால் தான் தமிழில் அது மறை என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது.....
தொல்காப்பியம் நிறை மொழி மாந்தர் ஆணையில் கிளர்ந்த மறை மொழி தானே மந்திரம் என்று சொல்லி உள்ளார்.... வேதங்கள் என்பவை மறைவாக பொருள் உள்ளவை என்று தொல்காப்பியர் சொல்லி உள்ளார் ....
