Correction: The alkaloid, pupunhadine, found in Peach Palm/ Peewah is NOT POISONOUS to humans. However, the fruit is best eaten cooked due to its very acidic taste.

Before you boil peewah you should mark the top in x with knife so that it's cooked properly inside
    The skin is also edible
And nut inside of seeds is edible
    Greetings from Trinidad

Not a fan of Peewah at all, but I am definitely a fan of this video. It's soooo well done. The lighting, the graphics, the flow. A lot of work went into this.

Hii, I’m from Colombia. In the city Cali, we call this chontaduro. We add salt to the fruit after its pealed and some people, including myself add honey too. It’s delicious! I suggest you try it again this way as it makes complete difference. The way you peeled it was awesome, learned something new! Thanks

I’m not sure where you can get it locally, but I got mine at the farmer’s market in Trinidad.
