They were superficially considered a boy band. But, in fact, they were serious and capable artists. It is no coincidence that great musicians such as David Gilmour, Sting, Herbie Hancock (Arcadia project) and major producers such as Neil Rodgers, Mark Ronson have collaborated with them.
Yes i made for many years this big mistake too. To consider DD as a boyband..... oh my God i was a fool! Simon Nick John Andy Roger and Warren are great musicians and now i can say it loud and proud: I love Duran Duran 😍🤩👍😎😊

Wes was one of the nicest, sweetest people I ever met. So completely down to earth and never once made us feel like he was better or special because he was in the band. He was like one of us and spoke to us as an equal and as a friend.
i believe the fans like warren immensely....its the band that made a mistake bringing back andy taylor for a reunion tour $$$ and letting warren go...andy didnt last and the band really hasnt had any decent albums since warren was on board..
Warren isn't just a regular guitar player in a band. He's more a producer, control taker, leader. That was good for Duran (with three original members) in the early nineties because they needed a new direction. Warren was responsible for the biggest part of Ordinary World AND Come Undone. But by the end of the nineties the band didn't have hits any more. John Taylor was gone. The band dynamics had shifted so much that Simon didn't feel comfortably any more. He recently has admitted that the the song "Who Do You Think You Are ?" is about Warren. Just listen to that song and everything becomes clear
Sigh. This song is one I can listen to again and again and it still stirs emotion in me. One of the most moving songs ever--completely selfless love, but oh so sad!!! I love how the guitar just seems to spiral like a bird in the wind...that soulful chorus could carry me away into a moonlit sky of nostalgia (almost has a Hawaiian/Beatles love song vibe to it). Perfect song for driving in the rain.

Es una despedida a sus fans, lamentablemente no es una banda de culto como The Beatles, de lo contrario todos estarían hablando de ello. Well, Jt never was a fan of him, and Simon got tired of his strong personality and doing everything for the band, from playing all the instruments to even daring to write lyrics. It was too much for the band. They could not domesticated it him. He got stronger and wilder. That is why Dom is so good for the band now... a little puppy puppet doing everything to please the guys.
It`s so hard to listen it again, damn, is too painfull! I do feel something for you, but in the life there are some sacrifices that we have to do for the ones that depend of us...
