Thank you so much Tina! The result is "magnifique" (magnificent)! I had a lot of fun to see all your process. You are a very good teacher, no doubt about it. Take care and happy dyeing and knitting! ;)
Arn't you afraid you would felt the yarn by twisting the yarn when you remove it from the dye bath? Other dyers have said not to do that. Instead just gently squeeze the yarn to remove excess liquid.
You also should not put cold yarn into hot water. YIKES! I've done that, with wool, though, and it felted completely. Put cold skeins into cold water and then turn the heat on. But for the color, perhaps you would get more differentiation if you used much less dye, so that it would exhaust before it hit all the yarn. Then you would get much more variation.

Gorgeous! Love the colour combo..so subtle and lovely. Will definitely try this! This is exactly what I've been trying to learn how to do. THANK YOU!
Sue Phillips Awesome! This has actually become my most favorite way to dye. I like the layering of colors that this technique allows.
This was very interesting. Do you have photos of the sweater you made with this yarn anywhere on the internet? Can you point us to them? Thanks!
what type of yarn did you use
does it have to be just a certain type of yarn that you over dye
Hi there, wondering what kind of dyes colours did you use? finish in 1 day? LOVEEE your over dye colour :)
I used turquoise, spruce, violet and one other blue.
Maybe you need to use more vinegar, in each of the dybaths?

Why do you wring the yarn . All of the others state NOT to wring but to scrunch it .??
Put your hands in your pocket .
