Screeching Weasel is the best pop-punk band in existence (next to the Descendents). Screeching Weasel deserves much more recognition than bands such as Green Day, etc
Yeah they had way more good songs. They had more songs over all too, but... They also had a lot of line up changes too. But that's what lead to all the variety. Don't get me wrong, I'm a bigger fan of SW than GD. GD lost me after Dookie. I still listen to SW. And still know how to play more of their songs than GD.
Screeching Weasel is a painfully underrated pop punk band. Descendents are known for "creating" it... But Screeching Weasel perfected the sound. Even super mainstream bands like Blink-182 would've never existed if it weren't for Ben Weasel and Joe Queer.
I loved wiggle! I agree it was underrated I guess cause it didn't sound as slick as my brain hurts! Goo job sweetbaby for uploading all the great 90s diy punk we grew up with! Punk was so exciting back then:-)
This album is fucking awesome! Boogada-Brain-Wiggle-Anthem is one of the best four album runs of any band I know! Dan Panic is a beast of a drummer, and he sounds the best he ever has here, also some of the bass playing on these songs is incredible
Hey Matt Aren... They actually had broken up prior to this L.P. and when they were given the opportunity to record this, they wanted to change the band name to, " Wiggle " . The guy at , Lookout told them that the only way he was gonna do the L.P. was if they used the old band name. That's why some of this record has a different sound than other Weasel L.P.'s . I think that it has a bit more ( in my opinion ) of a 70's Rock twinge of a sound. I think they felt that too. hence the Teenage Head song. A word to the wise...... UA-cam won't let you indent ! So much for proper paragraph structure !!!
mental fractal boogada X3 is way too much of a mixed bag for me. The three greats will always be My Brain, Wiggle, and Anthem, with How to Make following closely behind. Any objective critic of music will have to single out those albums as being their best. Of course, that would leave out their Singles, which contains some of their strongest material ("Mary was an Anarchist" and "Susanne is getting married" to name a couple). With Boogada X3 they were still figuring things out, and you've got lots of stupid songs like "Mad at the Paper Boy." I actually feel embarrassed for them some of the time on that one!
* @ ~%$#*^*&%--------- My symbols are cleaner !! Hahaha I know... spelling jokes are so lame. The spelling you're looking for here Chris, is ; Cymbals . I wasn't trying to be a dick or anything, so, no offence intended.
They've gone downhill ever since that album because they got alot poppier and less gritty, and after they kicked out Jughead, they've really lacked his sense of clever variation within tracks. Ben Weasel is a singer and lyricist, not an instrumentalist...
This is an amazing album, but I really hate the song "Going Home!" I'm sorry, but this song is SO un-ben-weasel. Since when did Ben Weasel ever apologize for being creepy? On a collection with songs like "Like a Parasite," "Jeannie's Got a Problem with her Uterus," and "Sad Little Girl," the pale-faced apology of "Going Home" sticks out like a sore thumb, and it really isn't one of their best anyway.
Robert, Going Home is my favorite on Wiggle! That's why this record is so amazing cause they combined their silly songs with their more sensitive songs that were heavily influenced by crimpshrine. Going Home was originally by crimpshrine
Wow! I never knew this. I was a SW fan before this album came out and also pretty familiar with most of Crimpshrine's catalog. But until I saw this comment, I never knew that this was a cover of a Crimpshrine song

The cymbals throughout this album are so incredibly noticable. I love "It's All In My Head"
yeeaah that is what make me identify this record because of the crashing cymballs used like crazy ja
Much too much
Fuck yeah. Way fucking better than yellow version Ben cashed in on.
@@erikberry6408the 25th anniversary version was awfull. I loved the way this version here is mixed. One or the best sounding punk albums of the 90s

I agree, four-album runs are rare. Though there is a certain streak Ramones-Leave Home-Rocket to Russia-Road to Ruin that is not to be frowned upon
Staying within the pop punk territory, Kerplunk-Dookie-Insomniac-Nimrod doesn't suck either
One of the few better 4 lp runs is Naked Raygun,Chicago really had the best punk scene in the country.
Best lineup, this and anthem I want to be buried with
Best weasel album for sure
best LP they released.
