If I understand that correctly, is that's essentially a 2-beat quarter note triplet. The first quarter is then an eighth note triplet, the next is 4 16ths and the final is just a quarter. Is that right? If so, here's what I'd do. In Speedy Entry, start by defining the quarter note triplet. Then, add the eighth note triplet on the first beat. To do that, you'd have to write on top of the first quarter note as shown in the video (1:35). Then, finish off the outer triplet by writing your 4 16ths and quarter notes. You may have to then adjust the beaming to group the 16ths together. Hope this helps!
In a measure of 3/4 I understand how to have 4 quarter notes in replacement of 3. But how do you nest each individual quarter note replaced by a pair of 16th note triplets. Very tricky for me to figure out. For audio reference it's a Freddie Hubbard transcription project coming from Art Blakey's "Caravan" album. Track "Sweet N' Sour Take 4" time stamp 2:37. Thank You.
Thank you!!! FiNALLY a video that helped me do this!!!
You're welcome, James!
My blood pressure will finally go back to normal

How do I do a nested tuplet with a first note quarter and then two sixteenths?
how do you create tuplets groups between 2 meausures? I mean: over the barline?
You can use the "Beam Over Barlines" plugin: ua-cam.com/video/xHF5gqxHIwQ/v-deo.html Hope this helps!
can you do how to do a ad lib?
Added that to the list! Do you have a particular context in mind? (e.g., drum solo, jazz solo, other)
@@nickmazuk I seen like it shows a box of like 8 notes and it says ad lib random and it shows a curvy line
@@nickmazuk examples of this is Vgoscore the end orchestra cover at the end of the video
I see, is this what you're looking for? ua-cam.com/video/bgH93UWE-Co/v-deo.html
@@nickmazuk yes, but it didn't change my sound. I wonder if its because it doesn't work with noteperformer
