This was one of my favorite seasons as a cowboys fan. Its to bad that they ran him into the ground that year.

I say he had at least 2 more years or more. Should have never left lol our Oline made anyone look good during those years.
Im glad we ran him into the ground, he didn’t end up staying because he wanted more money and he had issues staying healthy. He got paid and we got the best Murray.
Demarco was a beautiful back. He always made the field look like it was slanted and he was running and falling downhill
wish we had that o-line again 😢. 1900 yards
dude was a beast that year. My only issue i had with him was that he could never keep his balance but once he got running he was a freight train.
That and carrying the ball with one hand 😂, other than that he was pretty good.

He was great, but that fumble against Green Bay in the divisional game still haunts me.

Honestly as a 17 year old cowboys fan I can say that 2014 and maybe 2016 was probably our two closest shots to making it to the nfc championship game maybe super bowl depending on what would of happened if we beat Green Bay in one of those divisional round playoff games
I think 2014 was our best shot too. Romo was at his best and our offense was great with Dez, Witten and Murray.
His fumble in the Divisional Round costed us

Let us look at a guy who was quite a running back, he was Dallas's best rookie running back, he broke rookie records. He was quite a beast, and he was always striving to get a first down. And most of times, he went for that one play touchdown.
Dallas has had a lot of great running backs it’s crazy 💯.
Watching him run against the Bears defense was amazing to witness.
People don't what to admit Murray had the best year than any RB in Cowboys history. Mr.Murray should be in Cowboys Hall of Fame period!
Yeah I disagree with that, I think Emmitt Smith’s 95 season is the best in Cowboys history. And I liked Murray but 1 great season shouldn’t put him in the ring of honor imo. Loved him when he played for us though 💯.
@@DC4L99 Yes Emmit had him on TD level all the numbers Murray put up similar to Emmit in 95. Yes I agree Emmit got him slightly because of TD other than that would had been even. 8 straight 100 yd game is unheard today age if you not Henry. Murray was running like this for Dallas 4 straight yrs. We know 2 of the yrs Dallas did not feed him heavy. If Murray would played the full 2 season he would had been in Ring of honor.
When he planted that foot in the ground, somebody was missing a tackle. My coach always said to cut on the inside arm of a tackler,,he did it as good as anyone

DeMarco Murray was a freaking MONSTER that year! It's a shame he left Dallas when he did and his career never was the same.
He was 💯, never should have left Dallas. Could have had a great career behind that o line.

Born in 93, 14' was absolutely one of my favorite seasons
That Green Bay game still makes me crazy. Of course the Dez catch play, but it may not have come down to that. Dallas was set around midfield and Demarco broke through over right tackle. Dallas had a perfect call on and if Murray was gone... I mean he was going to score. Nothing but green grass in front of him, but Julius Peppers puts his arm out in desparation and pokes the damn ball loose. Fumble by Demarco, Green Bay recovers.

I know he was running behind a dominant O-line, but he also did a lot after contact. Best year ever for him.
Oh for sure he was a beast that season. I know idiotic Cowboy haters love to give all the credit to the o line when it comes to our great backs, but the facts are you don’t rush for that many yards without exceptional talent 💯.
Demarco Murray and Arian Foster two of my favorite backs, they didn’t have that highlight speed. Yet they ran the ball so smoothly, like poetry in motion. Very underrated.
I still remember arian fosters coming out party. Think it was against the colts in 2010. Boy boy boy

Murry had a good 1 2 3 gear. Just couldn't shift into 4th. Hell of a back. fit the offense so well.

Our O-Line in 2014-16, IMO, was the REAL "Great Wall Of Dallas" T. Smith,
R. Leary, T. Frederick,
Z. Martin, D. Free..WOW!🤯 No disrespect, and I'm not taking anything away from DeMarco Murray, and the year he had in 2014, BUT...IMO, the 2014-16 O-line we had was the BEST O-line I think we EVER had here in BIG D, and that's saying something, because our O-line back in 92, 93, and 95 was some pretty bad Mo Fo's in their own right, but I just think that as good as our O-line was in 92, 93, and 95, winning 3 SB'S in 4 years, was AWESOME in their own right, but our O-line in 2014-16 was a better one!! IMO, There's ONLY 2 THINGS the 92, 93, and 95 O-line had that the 2014-16 didn't, and it's the only edge I give to the 92, 93, and 95 O-line, where I can say they were more superior to our 2014-2016 O-line, just two things....#1...3 SB Rings! #2..Larry Allen!! Other than that, the 2014-16 O-line I think was the better O-line!!! Go back, and look at film of the 2014 season with DeMarco Murray rushing for 1845 yards....... Then go look at the film of Zeak Elliott's rookie year in 2016, with him rushing for 1631 yards....Check out our O-line and then tell me if you think I'm wrong!!
Our O-line in 2014-16 had 3 All-Pro's, and future first ballot HOF'ers playing on the SAME O-line..WOW!🤯
I remember back in the 2014-16 seasons, when it came to just how AWESOME Our O-line was.. I remember that It was the ONE, and ONLY thing, ANY, and ALL haters COULDN'T and WOULDN'T even try to argue the fact that OUR O-line in 2014, 2016, was the BIGGEST, BADDEST, MUCH FEARED, and MOST SUPERIOR O-line IN THE LEAGUE in 2014-16!! Go look at the film, and it'll speak for itself, and prove my point at the same time!!💯
DeMarco Murray almost having a 2000 yard rushing season with 1845 yards in 2014, and then in 2016, Zeak Elliott comes along, and almost does the same thing in his rookie year, rushing for 1631 yards!!
I promise you It WAS NO COINCIDENCE!!💯💪💪

I liked Murray’s deceptive speed. He doesn’t look fast but hit the hole or round the end and he’s gone for romp. If he stayed with the O-line we had then he’d probably have broken more records.🤠
He deserves all the credit for an incredible season that year but that 2014 o-line was beautiful to watch.

One of my favorite seasons as a Dallas fan. Murray was fun to watch. Dez had 16 tds. Romo had one of his best years. Witten, Beasley, and Williams. Defense was pretty decent and the OLine was the best in the league. They were fun to watch that year. Too bad it ended with the Dez non catch. And Tony’s final season.

Honestly it was more of Chip Kelley's awful system than anything else, he actually played pretty well for the Titans before he retired. Him and rookie Derrick Henry were a fun duo to watch
Both zeke and Murray have some ball security issues, both don’t have a lot of long TD runs but both run hard as hell
Well prior to last year Zeke rarely fumbled, hopefully it doesn’t continue.
3:30 Zeke is better, but Murray was such a dog. I missed him when he left!!
The only thing I didn’t like about Murray is that he had terrible ball security. Dude just held the ball out with one hand like a baton 😂. He definitely had a few good years for us though, I was a fan 💯.

Zeke is a better pass-catcher but imo Murray was underrated when it comes to physicality. He consistently lowers his shoulders and was embracing contact from defenders. Zeke's rookie year he was like that but he seems to be less physical than he once was.

Man, Demarco was a great RB for Dallas, but I feel that our O line was awesome for opening holes for Murray to run through them at times. Don't get me wrong, Murray was one of Dallas best RB, but you gotta give credit to the O line, and Murray made a mistake and left Dallas for Philly (Which he shouldn't have done) and his career went south. Such a shame, he took the money, I know, but, it wasn't worth it for Philly.
For sure, he doesn’t get 1800 yards without that o line. That applies to every great running back as well. Football is the ultimate team game 💯.
It was great to a degree. If you go back that season there were some areas closed off and Murray made cutback runs, which is why he and Adrian peterson were so similar. As a running back, to know the laws of physics can be deadly for any defender

It was, and I think it was smart that they didn’t pay him. Ended up getting Zeke a year later.

His career basically ended when he went to Philly, although he had one decent year with the Titans. The Cowboys offensive line from 2014 is arguably the best in nfl history, it was that dominant 💯.

He had a great year no doubt. But, he also had an MVP caliber QB too. A defense cannot commit to the run and still effectively cover receivers when Romo is the QB. What happened to Murray the next year without Romo? I was sad to see him go. But, just more evidence of how good Romo was. At 1:59, they mention how Romo was 9/9 and that opened things up for a about an 18 yard play.
Yeah that was easily Romo’s best season, shows you how much a great running game can help a qb 💯.

Let’s imagine if this beast was resigned like he should have and Jalen Ramsey was selected in that 4th pick and you take Derrick Henry in the second . I cried on draft day when this didn’t happen . Cried almost as much when T.J Watt wasn’t picked . Wonder how good we would be with Jalen Ramsey , Derrick Henry and TJ Watt 🤯🤯🤯
