this reminds me so much of my youngest sister. in my family of six- where i am the eldest, and i have three younger siblings- i felt deeply attached to my youngest sister. of course, i love the three of them dearly, but with my three year old sister on the line, i could feel this sense of love and admiration to this beautiful creature. she felt so fragile and innocent that i wanted to protect her from everything. i wanted to show her everything in this world- both the bad and the good- and that she deserves so much more. i wanted to change for her, to become the goodness for her in more ways than one. she is but a little child, but i love her so much. she probably doesn't realize it today, but i hope she feels warmth with me as she gets older. :))
