He was Chelsea's most creative player for years. Every time Mata had the ball, he would make something happen. His free kick against Utd was technical excellence at its peak. His inch perfect through ball assists were quality. I remember prime Mata running rings around Yaya Toure and dribbling for fun. Great player and a legend of the game.

The all time great midfield with busquets, I don't even think that is controversial. I do like the mainoo/foden flavour in England, kinda reminds me of that great xavi/iniesta dynamic. Obviously they have some way to go yet.
