- Fear and Loathing in LEGOLAND: Europe Edition is a 2024 video in the gonzo journalism style by DuckBricks. The video is a roman à clef, rooted in autobiographical incidents. The story follows its protagonist, Christopher Lee, and his LEGO Masters Teammate, Robert Zhang, as they descend on Europe to chase the Lego Dream through a plastic-induced haze, all the while ruminating on the failure of the 1960s countercultural movement. The work is DuckBricks's most famous video and is noted for its lurid descriptions of illicit LEGO models and its early retrospective on the LEGO models of the 1960s. Lee's highly subjective blend of fact and fiction, which it popularized, became known as gonzo journalism.

The robotic arm ride is awesome! It used to also be in California with a Knight's Kingdom 2 theme, but it's gone now. It was also at Billund with an arctic theme when I went in 2014, but they must have replaced it with the arctic coaster since then.

My friend and I were there around the same time, too bad I missed you! We spent the night in one of the two castle themed hotels, and they were absolutely amazing.
Still remember my first time in Legoland (germany) it rained like buckets as well so we got Lego one time ponchos from a vending machine in the park. I think the longest line was like 5 minutes and we rode the programmable arm like 5 times. 2nd day Weather was nicer . I got the Hero Factory Furno Bike set there

Great video. It was really interesting to compare those two parks to Windsor which I’ve been to many times and is always so busy. It’s never quiet even when raining.

Legoland Deutschland Resort is not actuslly one of the original Legolands. The Original Legoland Deutschland (the 2nd Legoland) was an entirely different Park located in Sirksdorf literally the other end of the country. It is called Hansa Park today (and doesnt feature Lego). There are some great old film recordings here on youtube

Yeah, It's really unfortunate they don't have a roller coaster themed around Ninjago.
In 2015 i visited the billund park. And in 2021 i went to the discovery centre in scheveningen. Which was dissapointing ngl
