Actually, QOP's lore name is Akasha, which surprisingly has nothing to do with western imagery of demons, but comes from eastern religions, such as buddhism and hinduism. From sanskrit "akasha" translates as "space", in meanings both as "skies" and "volume", in some translations meaning "air". In hinduism in particular "akasha" describes "earthly" element of aether from which rest - fire, earth, water and air - were descended, and is commonly related to sound and colour blue, both being properties of air and skies. As such, instead of Scream Of Pain, placing Sonic Wave as Akasha's ultimate additionally underlines her position as a demon very high in hellish hierarchy, responsible not just for screams of pain, but for the entirety of hellish sounds. It is a very deliberate choice, unlike her original title, which is an unimaginative combination of "Queen Of Suffering" and "Maiden of Pain", two mobs that share the exact same model DOtA Allstars QOP uses. And lorewise, lowly title of "Queen Of Pain" was given to her by some lousy monarch who summoned her unto mortal plane and was strangled by "Her Highness" shortly thereafter on consensual terms. That kinda brings in themes of eldritch horrors, of mortals bringing in this world something beyond their understanding, and not placing "Scream Of Pain" as expression of Akasha's true power just further drives the point home. Of course, there is a logical question of why give some simple succubus such grandiose name and power in the first place, but this logic simply puts cart before the horse, and we should again return back to DOtA Allstars to understand where it came from. While Akasha's WC3 model was based on a blue succubus mob, all of her basic abilities are carbon copies of night elven hero Warden: Shadow Strike, Fan Of Knives and Blink. The only original ability she has is Sonic Wave, which might seem a bit lame, but considering how well WC3 is designed, I can't blame The Frog for sticking with tried and true combination of spells. The idea to give Warden's spells to QOP most likely came from the fact, that aforementioned Maiden Of Pain already wielded Warden' Shadow Strike, and many custom heroes created on her basis, including QOP, inherited it as well. Regardless of where inspiration came from, in an unpredictable twist typical demoness suddenly ended up with abilities to slip through *space* and tear air apart with powerful *sound* of her voice, while looking like a *blue-skinned* succubus, who are commonly known to bind mortals with *earthly* pleasures, preventing them from reaching *enlightment.* I think you can see at this point, how name "Akasha" suddenly landed itself to QOP perfectly. After this, re-branding "Fan Of Knives" as something more "sound"-based was only natural, and so it became a scream made by Queen Of Pain, or, rather, a "Scream Of Pain". And while, yeah, for "Queen Of Pain" having "Scream Of Pain" as ultimate does sound appropriate, for "Akasha" rending skies asunder with the sound faster than what must be even possible, a "Sonic Wave", is a much more fitting presentation of her ultimate power.

That Anime battle at the end was visual art. We need more of the classics like Damage Casts Spells, though Attacks Cast Spells was a cool, more stable alternative as well.

This game mode forces you to level up your other abilities as soon as you can. With out that, people were just levelling one ability and looping that infinitely.
