    These things are in the Bible and are well documented by many well educated in scripture and in life. My doctorate is in Counselor Education with advanced training in Therapy so I have often prayed for Patients. Some have been deeply healed and changed more quickly and beyond what happens through Psychological interventions. One of my Professors said it was “Psychosomatic” but I asked why he did not use that to heal people.

    How do you knew the boy was only mistaken for dead such a thing happened in Greece in 2014 and was a common occurrence in the 1800s?
    How do we know that the boy did just go through a example of Lazarus syndrome wich happens all the time and is very common?
    How do you know this story even happened?

    • @Anonymous-zk6wl
      @Anonymous-zk6wl 3 роки тому +2

      A syndrome, by definition, is a collection of symptoms for which the cause is not necessarily known. Lazarus Syndrome is merely the medical terminology for a restarting of the heart of unknown causes. Lazarus Syndrome and miraculous resurrection are not mutually exclusive.
      Also, saying Lazarus Syndrome is "very common" reflects a misunderstanding of the syndrome. Wikipedia states the syndrome is, "extremely rare, and the causes are not well understood."
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lazarus_syndrome
      A Literature review conducted in 2007 found 38 cases in the medical literature since 1982.

    I don't understand why God chooses some to heal and others to not. It seems almost cruel. I have worked many years in healthcare and have seen so much suffering. It is difficult to understand.

    • @BillyJack85

      You just have to trust that the Creator of all this beauty & complexity which you see around you knows better than you or I and that He's working towards the greater good, whether we realize it or not. Perhaps some people need to remain sick for their own betterment or salvation, or someone else's. God doesnt do anything by accident tho. He is perfect & just, and so must be His actions. If Jesus were here He would give you a hug and call you o' ye of little faith! That's my guess!

    • @curiousgeorge555
      @curiousgeorge555 4 роки тому

      @Kathy, it is hard to understand. We have a plethora of beauty and a lot of barbed wire. Do we have enough evidence to believe God is good? I think we do. Christians have to deal with the very difficult question of suffering. Atheists have to deal with everything else.

      I wish God did heal more but it seems his primary purpose in performing a miracle is to bring Faith and to validate the gospel. That is why I mainly you see more miracles and places where people don't have the gospel the Bible or medicine. God has bigger purposes and reasons for what he does. He'd use this life as extremely temporary. He will heal everybody for eternity one day.

    I have never heard of anyone coming back to life after praying. In all cases, they should perform CPR on the patients.

    He keeps saying its well documented and its well documented but he doesn't provide those documents. Then around the 9:04 mark, speaking of a woman who couldn't walk but was miraculously healed, he says, then the next month there is video of her walking and he doesn't provide that video either. Lots of claims here but nothing concrete.

      Buy his book, Miricles.... If you won't expend energy nor funds to learn what you claim to desire to know, than don't complain that Keener didn't analyze documentation in a 30 min. talk.
      Most persons attending this talk had pre-knowledge of his book so were not outraged that he didn't delve into the documentation. This talk was intended for that audience and is fortunately on the tube for us to view; but if you want the evidence, buy the book.
      And if you refuse, than don't bring your bias into public spheres and expect anyone to view you as any less than a fool hearted person. That would be like me commenting on a 5 minute talking point by a scientist like Sean Carrol and denying veracity in his claims because he didn't go point by point explaining the hard science he purveys in university lectures.

      C2CE I attempt to be gracious... Sometimes I see comments such as yours and some may take what you said at face value and decide not to look any further because, as you said, he gives no evidence so why listen.
      I guess I'm a militant supporter of scrutiny and become to easily enraged if I believe someone is not utilizing due justice.... In any context.
      Also..... For the right intent, I believe Christians can present a certain ferver in there approach. I don't agree with those who demean opposers.

    My grandad died in a car accident many years ago. My mom, dad and my aunt rushed to the hospital with clothes and shoes that my grandad would wear after they prayed him back to life. They failed.. Or more correct, god failed (if he's real). So when christians says that god has the power to heal ANYONE, why does the majority of people not get healed? This is either a evil god, he isn't all that powerfull or he doesn't exist.

    What do I do with people that perform miracles like healing of blindness, and cancer but preach a false Gospel, no repentance, and a different jesus.
    What do I do with the likes of John of god, an absolute pagen who heals with medically attested healings.
    I'm confused

    • @CarnivoresinChrist

      The 'miracles' from him were never proven. Read this article. web.randi.org/swift/no-healing-miracles-found-in-john-of-god-follow-up-investigation
      Also Jesus Himself says there will be people who do miracles in His name and He will stay to them, "depart from me you workers of inequity, I never knew you."
      Just because there are ungodly people pretending to do miracles in the power of God doesn't mean that all miracles are false. It just means that we needed to use discernment. Look at the fruit in that person's life. If they're bring thousands to Christ praise God, if they are raping and killing little girls know that God will see that justice is served either in this life or the next.
      The devil intentionally copies the true works of God to try to lead people astray and discredit the real thing. Remember the psychic girl that was declaring that Paul was a messenger of God.... Paul didn't accept the testimony of the demon he cast it out of the girl. That story shows that the devil will try to imitate the real thing to infiltrate and destroy the true men of God.

      Lol either investigate & prove his evidence to be falsified or hold your tongue. It's amazing how you atheists continue to doubt in the face of such proof. You will never be satisfied, because like the Lord Himself says: it's never been an issue of evidence or proof, it's an issue of the heart. You don't want to know because then you'd have to make a decision and walk away from your sin. That's ok tho... if God & Jesus can do all this, They can heal you too. And I pray right now that you rise up & be healed from your disbelief & unrepentant heart! Now walk atheist! Walk!
