This sale is so close to Black Friday that I just tend to hold out. The 15 percent off is a joke for how much people spent to get in the higher tiers. But I like your recommendations and any time there's a Kelly video I watch.
So I keep seeing people talking about how this is too close to Black Friday and/or not a good deal, I think it important to note which brand you're thinking about buying from. If you want Rare Beauty, the Sephora sale is generally the best deal you're going to get. Their Black Friday sale for the last three years was just gift with purchases. And I remember my friend wanted something from Charlotte Tilbury and that one was up to 30% off and what she wanted wasn't included....And neither of those are at Ulta either. So maybe look at the 2022 black friday deals before not purchasing.

Since this is a month before Black Friday I'm going buy it and hold on to it to see if the individual sites have a better discount. They make you work for the best deals to be sure. Not shopping this year. I lost my rouge status last year, and even with that, my current vib status (which I will lose next year) is not worth the discount. I’d rather buy from Ulta or directly from brand websites. The only thing that’s worth it is the Sephora brand face cream but I still have some, so I’ll pick up more in the spring.

Kelly you HAVE TO try the makeup by mario blush! I'd also highly recommend their skin enhancer (the cream bronzer in the same packaging as that blush). Both have become my absolute favorites!
I’ve purchased 2 of the Tarte lip products in that click up style packaging and both broke after a few weeks of use. I’d highly discourage anyone from buying those…..then again maybe I just got unlucky twice 🤷🏻♀️
I'd recommend the Make up by Mario SoftSculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer. I have the shade light and this can be worn under or over your foundation. I've already hit pan on this bronzer.
If you like sol de Janeiro's 40 I think you'll like Maison Francis Kurkdjian Gentle Fluidity Gold, that same profile but a lot longer lasting, I still use 40 all the time and granted SDJ is loads cheaper than MFK but it's genuinely one of the most beautiful fragrances I've worn

Finally, someone who also thinks those strawberry blur drops are overhyped! I swear, everyone recommends that product. I have relatively oily/combination skin that is NOT sensitive at all (did not react to putting the highest Rx strength tretinoin all over it on day 1 and been using daily since). I didn't have any sort of reaction to it; I just didn't think it did anything at all other than make my face feel slightly slippery....which as you pointed out, is kinda the opposite of what you want if you're trying to use it as a primer! It definitely did not make my pores look any smaller, and it just didn't do anything for my skin in general. I used up the entire container because I refused to waste it, but I will never buy that again.

The powder blush from Makeup by Mario are soooo good!!! I haven’t tried the cream blush either but since you like powder more I’d suggest to try one of those!! ❤
Hey Kelly I heard the makeup by Mario cream blushes fade super quickly from Jen Phelps. And I remember you not loving the elf putty blushes for that reason.
I shopped at credo this year- they give everyone 20 percent off & I love the brands they carry! Will probably skip Sephora & wait for brand sales on their websites. When you don’t buy a ton of product the Sephora perks become way less appealing
I love the Farmacy moisturizer but just thinking about using that spatula when the product starts running out and having the scrape the sides of the jar gives me the heebie jeebies!
I bought the sol de janeiro variety holiday pack and it has both 40 and 68. I don’t use perfume or body spray often, so I won’t use these up very fast. I liked 68 but I cannot wear 40, it gives me a headache. My partner loves the smell but I honestly think it smells awful on me 🤢 I literally wanted to shower after putting it on. Because the fragrance lasts so long, I kept smelling it all day and hated it 😅
Kellyyy I see so many recommendations for Mario’s Skin Enhancer, please try it! But also, as a fellow matte/powder blush girl, I LOVE his powder blushes! And his lip liners are AMAZING, I think you’d love them! Also love his powder bronzer, and his Master Mattes and Ethereal Eyes palettes. And his bullet lipsticks! Ugh, such a great brand (just skip foundation + concealer imo)
I’ll be stocking up on Merit beauty’s Stockholm blush and trying more of their products- maybe the bronzer after seeing your review! Also love my classic Nars radiant concealer ❤

I recently bought the Merit bronzer in clay (at your recommendation) to compare it to my go-to Makeup By Mario Skin Enhancer in light-medium (Merit has more product for the same price) but I think I like the Makeup by Mario better. I need to test out the Merit a little longer though. I absolutely LOVE how the MM looks and applies on my face, but I go through it quickly (like 2 a year). Would love to see you try it and hear your thoughts.
If you haven't tried it, based on your fragrance preferences in this video I think you would really like the Valentino Born in Roma Donna perfume! The have also released an intense version, and another one in a Barbie pink bottle, but the original is still my favorite
Question on the summer friday balms, looking vanilla beige and pink sugar, are the scented sweet candy scents like maybelline lifter gloss or Fenty bombs? If so I want to avoid. I like the minty buxom creams and coconuty Tarte Maracuja juicy lips.
The summer Friday lip balms are scented very similar to the name. Vanilla beige smells like Swiss miss a little and pink sugar smells like a sugar cookie. If you want something fruity there’s the poppy one which is more citrus.
I don’t think I’m going to get anything. Wait - I do need a new Transexamic acid so maybe I’ll try one from Sephora. But things I really love from Sephora are the Huas Lab and Make Up Forever foundations, CaliRay mascara, Rare beauty liquid blush and bronzer, and the Kosas powder. Oh, and the Sol de Janerio body sprays! I pretty much have everything I need/want
Currently in my basket I have the travel size Replica Jazz Club, the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Tint, and the Tower 28 concealer. Definitely don't need the fragrance but I'm a fragrance fiend. I'm almost out of my winter skin tone skin tints (Tower 28, Fenty Eaze Drop) so I want to try the Yummy Skin (although it's $50 in Canada!!!). And I want to see if the Tower 28 concealer is worth the hype. I'm sure I could talk myself out of those purchases and try something new from the drugstore instead.
