lol yeah, it is an...out of the box type of packaging.
Love my bottle of this. Yes, it is too expensive but so are too many others. There is no obvious hook like sherry or some other big hit up front, but that's one of the reasons I like it. If you like mostly bourbon cask maturation with just a few other fortified wine casks thrown in to kick it up a notch (a common Bruichladdich vating method) this is a winner. The very long finish is definitely one of the things you're paying for with an older age statement bottle like this. Yes, I would like to see you two revisit this when it's halfway down. Cheers

Glass cork, thin glass and a sock? Crazy haha! This whisky is way out of my price bracket so it was nice to “taste” the whisky with you guys. Totally agree with letting some whiskeys sit, I find that sometimes with the Neckpour, a couple of whiskies leave me with egg on my face because they really develop but most of the time it’s just marginal. What a cracking whisky you guys have here, I must admit I’ve had my eye on this from afar but it seems like it’s good but not incredible, cheers you two! 🥂

How much of the price is the marketing and how much is the 18 years? But kudos to them for this being their first age stated whisky from their own grain. That is the coolest part of it.
Right now, this is about the going rate for an 18 year old scotch. Port Charlotte's new 18 is going for an even higher MSRP. Cheers.
