Kyra is suuuuch a bamf. I found her after getting pretty badly injured, and she really inspired me to not let my physical limitations be an excuse to not try. She is the best!!
"My foot was the last to leave the wall, it's not going to pop next time" was a really insightful piece of advice. It's been long since I last watched Kyra climb, I liked this collab a lot. The way she explains her climbs is extremely articulate; I'd like her commenting some World Cup final, she would do as good a job as Shauna or Staša.
@@hannahmorrisbouldering What a great video! You absolute crushed it, and seeing you and Kyra climb many problems I've seen and remember is cool! It's inspiring to see how she has overcome the issues with her back and is still such an absolute crusher despite it! The purple jump was so hard, I couldn't get it either no matter how many times I threw myself at it! Hope you had a great time here in Salt Lake! Cheers!
Hey Hannah! Watching these videos of your sessions with Pro Climbers or coaches I always wonder how many of their tips you actually manage to incorporate into your regular climbing sessions. Maybe it would be a fun idea to do a video where you react to some of your own content and comment on that?
Definitely, I was just thinking about a wrap up concept for all the advice I’ve received this year. The guidance I’ve gotten has absolutely made a difference to how I climb, so it would be nice to capture that. ☺️
Hannah! I’ve been watching you for years, and now you’re in the gym I climb at regularly! I would have loved to run into you! That purple climb around 20 minutes in with the Dino to compression was my project last month!
Haha, that’s the golden question! I think Pro Climber is more searchable maybe? I’m not too sure, but hopefully I landed on the ideal one to appease the YT powers. 😇
I would love to see you climb at the iffley bouldering wall in oxford - it's like a straight up wall with holds built into it and it looks really interesting.
It's cool to see you trying out more places and talking to more of the pro climbers! It's funny how recognizable BP is! My local main gym is also BP (and also has a reputation for setting compy). And yeah, sometimes there are routes in the intermediate to advanced range that feel weirdly impossible.
Kyra is so inspirational! I didn't realize that her spine was fused. Amazing how she's still able to be such a crusher, and that she has such a positive attitude towards it all.
Hey Hannah, we recently made a video at a gym and the sound was terrible straight from our phones! I was wondering, what mics would you recommend and do you have any link we could follow to buy some? ;)
Damn that feeling when Kyra with her fused spine has better back flexibility than most of America wow! She was straight up killing it on that white boulder! Hannah, your dynamic moves are getting better as always. That dyno to the gaston you did on that pink climb was beastly! Great video as always, I look forward to more
Very inspiring, especially hearing Kyra's history of having had scoliosis. I love her advice on assuming that you're going to get the hold and getting ready to grip.
Hey! They’re Montane running shorts (Slipstream model). These are the ones without the inner, but if I were to repurchase I’d go for the inner shorts ones - I wear some tight shorts beneath these or else they’d be a bit breezy haha 🤗
I think you have some of the most genuine climbing videos out there! I love how we’re able to just watch you all through the session. It’s something really special🫶🏽
I love the problems in this gym! Their route setters are definitely just having a lot of fun. Also, if you ever make it back to SLC, I hope to bump into you! I love your videos. :D
This was really cool to see, for all the obvious reasons but also because Seattle has a version of this gym. It kinda grounded what you guys were doing in a grade system I’m used to and actually helped the learning process.
Hey, loving the video as always. Can I ask, out of ignorance not criticism. I see some ppl top out at the top of walls and some with 2 hands on last hold. Is there a reason for this. Not sure if it's a gym thing a country thing or something else? Just curious. Thanks
Hey! Glad you liked the video - it changes from gym to gym - in some gyms you can top out on some areas of wall, there’ll be a sign to show you if you can top out or not. My local doesn’t have a top out boulder, but I can see why they’re super useful for training that kind of climbing move! ☺️
Kyra is suuuuch a bamf. I found her after getting pretty badly injured, and she really inspired me to not let my physical limitations be an excuse to not try. She is the best!!
She’s ace! It was great to chat to her about comp climbing and her climbing career. 💥🚀

So excited to watch this! BP SLC is my favorite gym to climb at locally, it's awesome that you got to come climb here with Kyra!
Yeeeeeee. Hope you enjoyed the video - Bp was a lot of fun, and Kyra was great to climb with. So knowledgeable and strong!

Kyra even speaks super quick 😅
Great to see the Bouldering Project on one of your videos. Seattle's BPs are my home gyms.
It's so cool seeing how your climbing has changed over the years. Even the small things like full crimping less often. Another cracking video!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it :)
visually the shot from 9:48 on might be my new favourite of yours, you both look powerful as hell

I too shy away from comp looking boulders and am working on being more dynamic ;)
So cool to see. I love her podcast and wasn't expecting this at all.
Yeeeee the pod is great! Glad you enjoyed ☺️
Somehow missed this when it came out. Cool to see Kyra :D
She’s great 💪

Awesome and inspiring to see Kyra climb! Thanks for the video :)
You're very welcome - glad you liked it :)
Strange question, which one between writing pro climber, Olympian , crusher or IFSC climber in the video title generates the most views?
Haha, that’s the golden question! I think Pro Climber is more searchable maybe? I’m not too sure, but hopefully I landed on the ideal one to appease the YT powers. 😇
Hmm interesting,
thanks for the reply, you always get me psyched for the next climbing session @@hannahmorrisbouldering

What a great video!
I don't know how to call this but the "image colour" looks so "pleasing". Also great video as always
Thank you very much!
sooo weird I was just there a month ago. such a cool place
Great gym!
Love the "I TRY" in the title 🤣
Haha, I'm playing a losing game trying to keep speed with the pros :)
Yay Kyra!
you would think after climbing with countless professionals and getting coaching from them she would actually get better at some point.
I’m really happy with my progress this year, I wouldn’t worry about it ☺️
im sorry, did Kyra say 'meatlets'? We are just gonna move past that?

Haha, its the collection name of the hold set :)

That climbing hall looks sick
It was a super nice gym! Lots of really fun compy boulders through all the grades.
Kyra is such a powerhouse!
Amazing to watch her crush :)

Hannah's the dyno queen
Have not seen her in worldcups nor the olympics what did I miss ?

Ugh I miss SLC BP so much! I walked by you sitting at the table when I left the gym this day :~) i hope you enjoyed it, it's such a special place!
Very inspiring, especially hearing Kyra's history of having had scoliosis. I love her advice on assuming that you're going to get the hold and getting ready to grip.
Ah why are you in Salt Lake? And WHY are you climbing at my gym? Haha like what the 😂 love to see Kyra! So strong
I've spotted some spicy-looking boulders in the background. Would love to try them.
I just love how climbers KNOW the holds in their favourite climbing gym 😂❤
🔥💪🏽💪🔥🏆🏅🌿👍🏽👍
Hey Hannah :)
can i ask what climbing shorts you're wearing?
looking for something similar

I go to BP in Phoenix Az 😊
Really cool gyms!
her scoliosis was insane - inspirational!

That’s cool to hear! We loved BP, definitely hoping to go back when we’re back in the area. ☺️
Sooo good on the pink crimp boulder 😊
And Kyra is such a crusher! Seems fun (and intense) to climb with 😁
She's so much fun to climb with - so skilled and full of great advice. :)
Kyra is inspirational, and just has the coolest energy. I am so glad you got to climb with her Hannah!

Is this a reupload?? I swear I've seen this already a few days ago?!
It is! We had some audio issues with the last video so we had to reupload. Hopefully it doesn’t effect performance too much ☺️💪
