As we mature we all have the potential to grow and change and feel at peace with ourselves, heal old wounds. Barrie has also grown and they obviously remain friends. I do love this song.

This is so precious. You know, in the last years i became so distant from everything, especially new things and I feel like everything is changing and nothing is the same and I'm just stuck, and I just feel disconnected to myself and what I used to love. But somehow this song with this video gives me feeling of "things are still here" and repeating it makes me think of my old self. Maybe I'm overthinking but I just love how I feel right now, watching this and listening to this song.

I could feel the pain in their voices. Like they still love each other but something i not right to continue a relationship. I broke up with my soulmate recently but we still love each other genuinely. It’s hard to explain it into words. That love just exists somewhere in the air. Barrie stated in an interview that Lana contacted him asking for the songs they co-wrote to be on her new album. So he asked her the permission to release Riverside as well. I believe in the past, Riverside was meant to be on his first album but Lana (or her team) didn't allow it.
