Nice.love the addition to the cast.please follow up on the progress of the inter seeding.I do lots of it as well,never have topped beforehand,always drilled directly early in the spring before much growth.depending on ground condition,I will cross drill using the first pass as a sort of tillage.thank you for the video!

Great video, least with cross drilling at half rate worked really well on spring barley stubble and full rate grass seed undersown in spring barley again came up well to.

About time HRS was replaced 🤣🤣. I’m trying to get my place to over seed some paddocks but I think pigs might fly!
Would there be an advantage to topping that feild off in a couple of weeks just to take the competition out, just guessing the rugby pitches would be topped regularly

we sold our moore drill , couldn't do any good at all with it especially not in May as the other grass just chokes out the seed before it get going , we have a tine harrow and stocks air seeder now and we go over the ground a few times to rip it out before seeding , then roll

Hi I have such moore drill of 4m width with 24 rows.Pulled it with 230 hp but tractor is to heavy for no till conditions but also such drill requres some power to pull,could 100 hp pull a 4m unidrill on flat ground?
I’d say 150Hp for a 4 meter
@@thehayteamtv6830 I would try it with 100 hp but full drill is about 5 tons because it has fertilizer tank also and tractor is only 4,3t

hellfire,we had a 3m unidrill in 1982 over near Cardiff,direct off old Sam Moore himself.
I drilled thousands of acres of grass seed and beans with that thing,hated every minute of it to be honest.
It was a bitch to calibrate and always packed the seed too tight after a few acres.
Not my favourite contracting experience.

You said you drilled it 1.5 inches deep, that's very deep for grass in my opinion?
I've never seen the point of using 4wd unless it's needed.
Drilled it a bit deeper this time as it’s so dry
