    Absolutely Fantastic - so clear and precise , no ponsing around and 5 mins of verbal preamble nonsense , just directly to the point, which is what we are here to view. THANK YOU !

    Don't cut off the ground wire (and foil, if you can still fit the cable in with it) if you have a metal jacket on your cat.6 connector, ground should make contact with the jacket.
    Your cable should look like this from the side: insulation with foil/ground folded back, then the plastic latch as close as possible to the twist, then the parallel wires sticking out of the latch just enough to make it all the way to the front of the plug. Make sure you can clearly see 8 little copper circles pushing up the front side of the plug before you crimp it down. Cut off the excess foil after you're done.

    Thanks DIPOL_English for the mind-blowing vid. At my last place of work, we had to make our own ethernet cables. It would have cut our cable making cycle time in half if we used the two part connectors. Ever try to prep those cables and insert them into the crimp area...without that little guide? Your info is British-based. Should I just look for something similar in the states? Any brand names? Thanks again.

    Question1:is it necessary to use guide with cat6 like in 3:03, (Base on my observation and doing nonsense research only cat6 uses the guide i dont see cat 5e uses guide,)
    Question2:can u use that guide for making cat5e? (Cause in my case i only see tutorial cat6 with putin guide on not in cat 5e)
    Question3:is cat6 and cat 5e same rj45? (Cause i see rj45 with staggered and plain)
    Question4:can i use staggered rj45 for cat 5e?
    Question5:can i use plain rj45 (the classic one) in cat 6?
    Question6: can i make cable cat 6 with the standard build direct in rj45
    I hope u answer all of these plsplspls for my composure please make it clear promise i will subscribe after 😢😢😢

      Answer 1: In this solution - yes, however You can buy cat6 plugs without the guide. The plug mentioned in the movie comes with this guide and You must use it.

    • @dipolen

      @@watalayph950 the main difference between the cat 5e and 6 is usually the guide, also you can use cat 5e cable in cat 6 plugs but you can't use cat 5e plugs on cat 6 cable, due to cat 6 cables being too thick.

    Do you place them in the same order on either side, or do you go in reverse order on the other end?

    • @dipolen
      @dipolen  4 роки тому

      You do it the same way on both sides.

    • @poopsmith6853
      @poopsmith6853 3 роки тому

      Actually if you reverse the order you have a roll over cable, which is needed for accessing the console port on some network hardware. You can realize they need to be the same by simple logic: it's bilateral communication so if they were reversed, the messages come on the opposite pair outlet and the interface wouldn't know what to do with it.
