I liked the story. Though I have to say I feel bad for Gotoba, because what he did have a point about Takeru using Hi-Chan's memory as a shield to just not deal with girls and stomping on their confessions. I mean Takeru kept saying how he loved her and how he can't go out with anyone because he cared for her but he never did the leg work to actually look into her so they could get back into contact. It was so bad that when the girl he had a crush on came back and confessed to him he rejected her using the memory her elementary school self as an excuse. Not only that if it wasn't for Gotoba dragging him out to flirt with girls Takero and Hojo would never have talked with each other and figured it out who each other were.
I disagree with you. His friend didn't understand him at all. Takeru was feeling guilty, It would be unfair with anyone if he started dating them. Their feelings wouldn't be mutual because he likes someone already and not only that, but he had a problem with himself. I don't think Takeru was using an excuse to avoid girls, more that he maybe felt like opening to them would be betraying his childhood friend once more. I don't know, I feel like he was the most confused in the whole story.

That way he would know if she is in a relationship or if she single like him or if she even remembers him. They were in elementary school when this happen and from how he explained it they were so young that he didn’t even know what love was until she moved. Even when Hojo asked if he was going to ask this girl out he said he want to “but she probably hates me” and that kind of sounds like he was preparing an excuse to not ask her out even if they did meet up again. How long was this going to last was he going reject girls when he went to college, and when he got a job because he was still thinking of Hi-Chan.

But it turns out the girl was Takeru’s childhood friend Hojo. Glad they reunited after being apart for years. But I wonder if the writers give the FMC some sort of face recognition ability. It’s like they easily recognize the Mc from their childhood right at the moment they meet again and the Mc literally doesn’t remember.

To be honest, Mayuko should have revealed herself to Takeru instead of waiting for him to recognize. Then she wouldn't have to feel so bad about rejection. The rejection wouldn't happen at all. But thanks to that, I now see that Takeru is loyal to whom he loves and is not a betrayer like a certain someone. Gotoba: HEEEEEYYYY!!!! I liked the story
Gotoba made sense, he was a good friend but he ended up leaving Takeru alone after betraying him with his "sleazy ass quotes", but looks like Takeru had a lucky day and ended up moving on from the past and to get back to Mayuko together, Gotoba was a good friend, but it seems like he pranked Takeru too far and ended up getting a huge ass lesson from Rokuhara, and i'm pretty sure, Takeru would end up not talking to Gotoba for quite a long time for that betrayal, but i think he might still be friend though, but that betrayal even if it's just goofy ass flirting purposes will leave a mark from someone, Gotoba already knew of his friend Takeru to be an introvert and still does the "flirt plan" anyways, so it surely did killed Takeru (the way he asked Mayuko, i felt some dying pain in it because no one possess such guts to try do that to a stranger, and if you do so you'll look like a bitch, that's a hard hit to reputation) and Gotoba deserves the karma of doing that shit to an introvert
It's sweet that Takeru and Mayuko were able to meet again after being separated for so many years 😊 and it's cute that they became a lovely couple in the end 🥰 and it was also freaking hilarious that they and everyone else started roasting him and threw Gotoba under the bus and ratted him out to Rokuhara and signed him up for a public beating 😂 but I'm sure he'll be all right maybe.😏

Gotoba made sense, he was a good friend but he ended up leaving Takeru alone after betraying him with his "sleazy ass quotes", but looks like Takeru had a lucky day and ended up moving on from the past and to get back to Mayuko together, Gotoba was a good friend, but it seems like he pranked Takeru too far and ended up getting a huge ass lesson from Rokuhara, and i'm pretty sure, Takeru would end up not talking to Gotoba for quite a long time for that betrayal, but i think he might still be friend though, but that betrayal even if it's just goofy ass flirting purposes will leave a mark from someone, Gotoba already knew of his friend Takeru to be an introvert and still does the "flirt plan" anyways, so it surely did killed Takeru (the way he asked Mayuko, i felt some dying pain in it because no one possess such guts to try do that to a stranger, and if you do so you'll look like a bitch, that's a hard hit to reputation) and Gotoba deserves the karma of doing that shit to an introvert

It's sweet that Takeru and Mayuko were able to meet again after being separated for so many years 😊 and it's cute that they became a lovely couple in the end 🥰 and it was also freaking hilarious that they and everyone else started roasting him and threw Gotoba under the bus and ratted him out to Rokuhara and signed him up for a public beating 😂 but I'm sure he'll be all right maybe.😏
