SUPER Dave to finish off the series . Sitting with herself with nothing on TV I put on UA-cam on the Tv. She said do not put on TMF in Canada put on that Geordie from Cavan. Connemara is way better. BTW love the pipes at the start . Looking forward to your next one.
Well done guys. It's nice to see the real tradesmen using the plank and a prayer technique there is not many of us left who use a bit of improvisation and uncommon sense to get the desired result. We usually paint or seal one side of the wall to stop the dampness wicking through, and some form of insulating barrier to stop any chance of condensation .its good to see you have a safe dry spot to keep your treasured friends. Keep well and safe. We are all happy for you Johnny gadget Melbourne Australia (Bricklayer) 👍
As a Connemara man, it is nice to see an outsider view of our glorius area. I am lucky to live and motorcycle around Connemara. I was going to do an insiders view video on Connemara but after watching yours, I will have to take more time
Loved that Dave - my sort of tour this....I'm always struck by how similar the road signs and street furniture are in Ireland to the UK...dunno why that surprises me but it does! Brilliant production by the way, but then this is you, so it darn well should be!!
Thanks Dave Loved the series. Your personality and style of talking to the camera is so welcoming you make us feel like you are an old friend we've known forever Coupled with the visuals and history you're doing a great job So please except my Thanks and gratitude and I believe we are all looking forward to the next scenic adventure. Cheers stay safe and well Johnny gadget Melbourne Australia 👍
Thank you Dave for the open window into the beautiful backyard of your part of the world. I loved the videography, the music and the drone cinematography. Thanks so much for making us feel like we're good friends with whom you are sharing your life. Easy for me to say sitting in my recliner, but please keep it up. Much appreciated.
Awh Dave, how sad this trip has ended, but, I so enjoyed the views, commentary and music. The hours you must spend putting this together does not do it justice! Thank you. Be well, ride safe and keep em coming.👍will be in touch.
Your hitchhiker made me smile, conjuring memories of a trip I took with a friend in 1978 to the Donegal Gaeltacht. Travelling from Belfast, we picked up three brave young ladies at one point and I have fond memories of the five of us aboard my Yamaha RD 250 on the Irish country lanes. A couple of very happy days that I appreciate being reminded of. Thank you for doing these evocative videos.
Super series Dave, and the Sky Road is amazing. Don't worry about expanding your vocabulary....'stunning ' and 'beautiful ' are just right!!. Great drone footage and photography too. Cheers, Steve
Absolutely stunning scenery throughout this video. I can definitely see why the local riders used your video as a reason to plan a ride out. If I somehow managed to find myself riding through Ireland I'll definitely be using your videos as a planning tool. ❤📷🏍💕
Brilliant 👍 Just sorry this one has ended .Have to say this last episode was the best - music, photography, cinematography all seemed to have jumped a level??👍 - not that I know what I’m talking about 😂 but loved it all the same👏👏
Brilliant Dave! These mini series you do should be on mainstream TV! I did the Pico's in Spain again in October, but def thinking of Ireland and Wild Atlantic Way next year. Just hope the weather will be kind!
Great series Dave. West Mayo is a fantastic area to ride through on a bike. I keep going back there and to Donegal as you always find a new route/town/ village etc which makes the trip special. Well done .
Hugely enjoyable as usual, Dave. The footage you provide us is second to none. Only just stayed in Leenane Hotel over Halloween, Glassillaun Beach well worth a visit. Stunning drive/cycle from Killary Harbour to the beach. In all my visits to Connemara I never ventured that far and, boy, it's probably the most beautiful place in all of Connemara.
A wonderful series I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope your wife changes her mind about riding with you, there's nothing like sharing the experience together. Although doing a solo trip like this is very inspirational for me. Thanks for the windshield bug repellent. I'm going to buy a bottle myself now. Cheers!
Great series, my mother’s side of the family apparently originate from Mayo…I certainly have a big love of that part of Ireland and have visited many times over the years…
Some of the best drone footage I’ve seen on UA-cam Dave, absolutely superb, I’m going to try and save to get a drone now! I really enjoyed the series, engaging commentary by yourself and reflecting humour to boot. I’ll help you out with your adjectives but you have to promise to make another series to use them - Exquisite; Dazzling ; Panorama’s . Cheers Dennis 👍
🤣🤣 Love this comment Dennis. I love those words too! Yes I’m currently working on a new mini series but it’ll be next year before it screens. It’s going to be a belter though.👍
enjoyed every bit of the 3/3 series. Loved the one liner in this vdo, checking the horse 🐎 on your bike horse power (epic) Keep riding, ride safe.. more Miles to you Looking forward to a new series soon.
Thanks Dave, I`ve thoroughly enjoyed this series. If you`ve not been to Donegal yet you must, it`s simply stunning as is most of the West Coast to be honest ! 😀😀
Awesome series as always from you Dave and makes me want to get back over there asap and do more of that area as I haven’t really done Connemara properly, only passed through on the WAW. Looking forward to your next adventure 😊👍
Dave, I can't express just how much enjoyed this series. I always appreciate your photography, videography and commentary. I really does feel like I am riding right beside you and we are just chatting over our bluetooth communicators. Your choices of routes, the places you highlighted and the scenery waere all beyond amazing. The photos from your iPhone are actually amazing. Its clearly the guy holding the camera that makes the difference... a few of those at the end were just spectacular. I have a Nikon DSLR that hasn't gotten much use in the last 2 years... not sure you should ever need yours again either. I am planning a trip to the UK this summer and also hope to visit my friend in Galway. Now, thanks to you, I have another clear destination in mind. I also enjoyed seeing how you pack your gear. Mine is similar on my GS except I don't have the need for the very large tank bag... a smaller one holds my water, gloves, windscreen cleaner and the like. Otherwise, many similarities to my travel packing. Its always interesting to compare. Anyway, thank you again... things are finally cooling off here in Texas so its fun to ride vicariously with you in Ireland. Well done!
That was a wonderful series Dave. I can see a trip to Connemara in my future, and thanks for the kit breakdown. Looking forward to the next one. Maybe "man searches for Irelands nicest coffee" lol
Forgot to comment, after watching the ending section and seeing your Apple charger almost go flying, I brought a Macbook Air with me to Russia and Mongolia in 2015. Mainly to transfer videos from my Gopro which let me down 2 weeks into the trip. There is AN apple Charger outside a hotel in Krasnogorsk, Siberia. I bought a dodgy one in Russia and it still works to this day, 7 years later.
Hi Dave, thanks so much for the huge effort you go to, to educate and inspire us. Thanks to you (and others) I'm leaving for Ireland 8th June 2024 for a week's touring on my bike, can't wait ! Connemara Dingle Kerry ect. I'll defio' include some of the brill passes you've shown us. Cheers, please carry on with the vids.
Hi Dave. Great videos. I live in Ballinrobe. Moved here from Dublin a couple of years ago. I know all the rides you took by heart. They are my weekly runs. If ever you are down this way again give me a shout and I’ll show you some more great rides and maybe have a pint or two with you.
7:27 Looks very similar to the North West highlands of Scotland - but give some serious thought to the NC500 - and by that I mean, if you've a limited amount of time, there's better roads to ride and more spectacular scenery in the West than the East. As a Scot who's spent a fair bit of time up around the NC500 area (since before it was the NC500), I'd recommend not wasting time going east of the A897 - unless you're desperate to tag John O'Groats or get the 'badge' for having done the NC500. Enjoying the content as ever Dave. Keep em coming.
Great mini-series Dave, lovely scenery captured by your camera. Although I appreciate the technology of the 360 degree camera I’m not keen on the ‘distorted’ photographic aspects….personal opinion I know. All the best from Cambridge UK🇬🇧
Cheers Dave enjoyed that, I've done a few of those roads but on a Panigale so had to cut my trip short but will definitely go back on a more suitable bike
Good lad dave nice series I have to laugh sometimes you say some einglish sayings with an Irish accent brilliant 👍haven't seen enough of connemara myself but I have been to cong grate little town.
Hi Dave, you keep raising the moto vloging bar that others have difficulty coming close. (Noraly and Andy excepted of course) Loved this mini-series and as you mention your trips will inspire many bikers to visit the emerald isle. Failte Ireland sponsership??? I will try to follow your wheel tracks someday. Enjoyed the packing tips at the end. Always learning even after 40+ years.
Lots of work involved in making this, much appreciated as the vid and photography is stunning. I struggle to understand how the UA-cam algorithm works, this should be getting huge views??
Thanks Dave. Any chance you might share the names or artists of some of the songs on this film? Beautiful soundtrack. Btw, live your channel - I bought my CGT650 based largely on your review and the joy it clearly brought you.
Many thanks Nick land much appreciated. I don’t know the names or artists as I use a copyright free site called ‘Epidemic Sound’ who I pay a license fee to every year. I spend days scrolling through the site to find the right track for the right sequence and then just download it. Saying that, if there’s a particular track you love then let me know and I’ll email it to you. Send me a PM with your email to wheeliegoodvideos@gmail.com Cheers Dave.
Dave, Another super video that I've passed on to family & friends. Question if you don't mind, did you get the bike with the BMW alarm fitted and if not, why not? dealership salesperson says "no point . . . " I think different but can't find any info or mention of it anywhere. Thanks, Martin
Hi Martin and many thanks. Yes mine came with alarm and immobiliser. I wouldn’t be without it tbh as it spends a good bit of time parked up outside hotels when I’m away. My insurance company also insists on it.
Such a great production ,the scenery is stunning and you come across as such a lovely fella...just one question Dave ,you've had your Daytona boots a while now any more thoughts on them i:e are they worth the money ? Stuart
Cheers Dave enjoyed that, I've done a few of those roads but on a Panigale so had to cut my trip short but will definitely go back on a more suitable bike
Well put together thanks 👏👏👏👍Manxman 🇮🇲

Great Series again Dave, Keep em coming, have the roadside monuments finished that you used to cover on the RE? Ride Safe.

We did the High Road back in September. It was a stunning view on a cloudless day
Thanks Bucky. I use Epidemicsound.com for all my music. 👍🏍
