This morning I received a Mother's Day video call on my phone from my son in Singapore this morning, but before he called, when I went to my tablet to set up receipt of the video call there, I received the message "We couldn't send an SMS to your number .Please check your number and try again in one hour. I've waited and still am not able to register on my tablet. If you switch back and forth too often, are you "blocked" on the tablet?
@@CrankyYankee45 Are you trying to move your WhatsApp account from your phone to your tablet? As you have mentioned, if you try too often it might block you for sometime (temporary). When transferring your account to your tablet, you should receive a code on your phone. Unless, you don't enter this code to your tablet, you won't be able to move the account! It is also possible that you've cancelled the transfer by using your phone. Because once you've transferred the account, you won't be able to receive calls on the phone. But if you've cancelled the transfer from your phone, then it's possible that the WhatsApp is considering the attempt by the tablet suspicious and hence block you for sometime on the tablet. I hope it makes sense. As shown at 3:44, WhatsApp gives a last chance to prevent the transfer of the account to the other tablet/phone. Don't worry, you could try again. I suggest you to backup your WhatsApp first if you haven't already. Hi Adam. At a moment, WhatsApp by design doesn't allow video calls without the transfer of account (logging out). Hi. The problem I am having with is also showing with your video call here. We are seeing the other person in landscape-(horizontal) view BUT actually they are in portrait-(vertical) mode. .. if the tablet is turned, they will see us in landscape mode.. and the camera does not fit the correct landscape mode... it is a huge problem... locking and unlocking and changing the auto rotate does not work.
This is misleading. Sure, it works, but you're also removing your account from the phone as you can always only use one device with whatsapp. Also, there's an increasing cool down for changing devices, so you can't go back and forth from your phone and your tablet.
If you want to use WhatsApp on 2 devices and be able to make video calls, then it's better to get another SIM card. However, if you want to transfer your WhatsApp account without losing your data, then follow the first 2 videos in the pinned comments. All the best!
Forcing people to have Sim card actually makes WhatsApp more secure. You can easily buy another sim card to use on a Tablet. What about ipad.
It's the same procedure. Instead of google store, use apple store to download WhatsApp. Thereafter, it's all the same.

Have you tried to increase your calls volume and media volume? Otherwise, you could connect to an external speaker or headphones.
