4:35 the violinist can play guitar, lil' bit of piano as well, and also have a wonderful deep voice, but he plays violin in all of their songs (so far) unless it's for a special performances or during his late night instalives. He played violin for his entire live & like other violinist, has a very heavy classical background & base before he finally decided he like busking & band music more ^^ and i agree that what makes lucy unique, not only the fact that there's a violinist, but also that there's no lead guitarist (yellowcard still have a lead guitarist, lol remember that band?) plus they have a very full bass line with the guitar mostly only playing chords as support. imo, while their songs & skills are also another level, they excel the most in arragement. with such a unique, and one would argue, limited instruments, they somehow managed to fit the violin into EVERY TYPE OF MUSIC. Indeed kudos to our genius producer (the bassist) acknowledged by coldplay themselves! with each members being an established musician with career even before forming a band, Lucy for sure have one of the highest level of musicallity for popular music p.s. sorry for the essay, i am just too excited >
also, if you are interested and willing, i reccomend you to do a full album review (they mostly have mini albums, its not that many, don't worry) as they usually have a very clear & comprehensive storyline in their albums. also, 100% reccomended to watch their album commentary as well (available on their youtibe channel, Lucy Island) coz it's fascinating to see their process and what they intended with the songs they also have GORGEOUS instrumental track titled INTRO and OUTRO, one of my faves

They were formed on a show Superband (basically there were bunch of different musicians that were naturally made into 5 groups and then in the end they compete for the opportunity to debut as only 1 and 2 place could) Lucy came in 2nd place. Then they were signed to agency and debuted in 2020.

actually onewe and lucy we called it k-bands more than kpop groups cuz they're playing an instrument instead of dancing
yes they actually can play different kind of instrument, even sometimes they switching instrument and it's fun!!
