      Nax Alric not arguing with some random on the internet. Foreword has the same structure to the song that lost my head does. Almost as if they merged foreword and facedown together to make lostmyhead. I’m just saying facedown was lostmyhead before it was actually made 👍🏻

      I've been listening to their songs (on and off) since 2014 and I wish I would have loved their music back then as much as i love it now because i feel like i missed out so much (and they played in my town in 2014 before i knew they existed:/)

    favorite thing about this band is that they have their songs, and then they have their music, no words, just emotions portrayed into sounds that project into us and make us feel what they want us to feel. i'm dead. this song is heaven.

    I love the way it's quite melancholic and subdued at the beginning and then gradually transforming into something energetic and happy, I feel like it represents the growth and success of the band and Matty's Journey and recovery from his past, as well as my own recovery journey, so this song is quite personal to me in that sense

    This is the first time I've ever heard any of their old songs. Honestly, I thought their old songs was the IV album and Cars but I was completely wrong. I aimlessly searched up Ghosts and was suddenly pulled into this new perspective of them. I never knew they composed other song that were not released. Most of these-in fact all of them- are unbelievably amazing! While I listen to these old songs, I start to depict similarities from these and their previous albums including the iliwysfuasbysuoi album. I know I am dumb to not even know this side of them but it's nice to find out this. Because it shows how much they have 'evolved' but still kept the same rhythm/beat in every work of their music. Thank you for posting this and opening my mind more about their early days in starting the band. x

      Ursula .x i totally agree! one night I was in Florida and everybody had gone to sleep and I was having trouble sleeping so I went into the kitchen and made some coffee and I thought I'd listen to some music and I came across the old version of antichrist and I sat on my couch with actual tears running down my cheeks. its kind of like what Matty said about how he wanted people to fall in love with the band much like they would fall in love with a person. I feel that. the more I learn about them the more I fall in love. :)

    this song makes me cry every time I listen to it. no lyrics, but the progression of the song from soft and hesitant to intensely powerful just reminds me to always move foreword. I decided to be clean for good tonight. this song describes what that feels like

    • @morganmoth1236
      @morganmoth1236 7 років тому

      That's really amazing, and I hate to be that one person, but "foreword" is different from "forward". Moving "forward" makes sense, but moving "foreword" does not.

    My interest in The 1975 was sparked by a remix of their song "Settle Down" from a Majestic Casual mix in 2016. I explored the band slowly and with each newly discovered track, came a new addiction. I explored this band more and more and I cannot tell you how much The 1975 means to me! Each song, each verse; all of it, pure poetry. I just heard this song, and the album from which it came: I am so grateful to experience this track for the first time and it only heightens my love for their music. Thank you for everything you do! Come to Portland Oregon again!!!!
