AS WE GATHER
How easy is it for you to be thankful? When times and circumstances are good, it is not all that hard to be grateful. But, what about the times when we face losses, challenges, and difficulties? Can we still be thankful? What does God expect from us? The apostle Paul speaks to us about being thankful from his personal experience. He writes his letter to the Philippians from prison. He is awaiting trial where he knows that he might lose his life. Yet he can be thankful for so many things in his life beyond his “chains.” As we journey through this life on the “Thanksgiving Road”, we find encouragement from the words of Paul, knowing that “the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”
