Dignics 80 2.1mm is a beast! So speed but an incredible feeling and grip. However, short game need too becarfull. Serve have the same spin that T05 in my opinion. More precise to put the ball where you want at serve. Durability with 6 hour/week 1 year and a half. T05 is dead after 3 month with the same utilisation. It's expensive but, it is a masterpiece for good players.
I bought it based on this review, both sides on a Inner Force ALC. Previously was on a Timo Boll ALC with T05 FH and MXP BH, which is a wonderful combo. Tried the D80 for the first time and felt it really difficult to control! Didn't notice the ton of grip and control you speak of. Hopefully this was due to the new bat as well which is noticeably slower than the TB ALC. Will give it a try for a few months!
After having played a couple more sessions I am getting used to the rubber. Vs T05, it is noticeably more spinny in power looping, it is more linear although still has a very high strong elastic rebound effect which means you have to be careful not to hit it long. The only con is that it is very spin sensitive due to the high grip so you have to play even more accurately than with T05. There is less dwell time due to it being harder so you have to be more accurate in your strokes and use more power from the ground. The benefits are that it is faster when smashing, lighter than T05 and more durable than T05 (probably at least by a factor of 2). In my eyes, this makes it a superior rubber to T05, even with the increased price. I'm going to stick with this for FH and BH. P.S. I'm using it on an InnerForce ALC.

Hi @Džim Džarmisonit depends on what style of play you have. I have some tips for you here but at first I have to say this blades are Carbon so vary fast, they are suited for proffesionals and they are so expensive. I perssonaly don’t use them but they are best combinations with Dignics 80. If you are really advanced player and play a lots of years at quite high national league you will love it. If not it can just only demage your play and steal a lots of money to you. So here is them: - Play in higher level without weak point : · · Zhang Jike Super ZLC . Combing a rubber well-balanced between speed and rotation, Dignics 80, and Super ZL Carbon-equipped racket Zhang Jike Super ZLC guides your play to not only a powerful but also a stable higher level. - Smart play at variable distance : · · Mizutani Jun ZLC. Jun Mizutani chooses the combination of Dignics 80 and the desirable bounce blade Mizutani Jun ZLC. As Dignics 80 has an excellent balance between speed and spin, you can easily decide whether to block or counter depending on the speed of the opponent’s ball. This is the combination enabling an offensive counter topspin away from the table, recommended for the player who plays smart at variable distance. - Stable and powerful counter topspin play : · · Timo Boll ZLF . The combination of Dignics 80 and Timo Boll ZLF has both good bounce and control and offers reliability thanks to the holding the ball well. This is recommended for an aggressive well-a playing style focused on stability. I play quite good but I am using full wooden blade(Petr Korbel Offensive) and it is little bit more slow and this blade it blade but I think it is good. And I also has bought it because it is quite cheape something about 50 euros. So I hope I helped you...🙂
Hi @Džim Džarmison thank you so much. I am really happy that I could help you think the Viscaria should be better. Viscaria is little soft. That means this is not so gard rubber and unlike the innerforce viscaria is little bit more slow but is still very fast. With viscaria and Dignics 80 you will get really fast combination and you will not need anything fater and you will no longer have to change your bat. Also voscaria is very light what is also very good. If you believe you can controll so fast bat you can buy it. I think this combination is very good. I thank you again. It is plessure to help you. I hope I helped you at least a little. And if you need anything else feel free to write. Thanks and have a nice day... :)
Amazing review! Best quality TT videos up there with Pongfinity. Also do you have any recommendations im getting a new racket could you recommend good and cheap blade and rubbers? Thanks!
Hi, what about compering Tenergy 80 vs Dicgnics 80? I play now with Tenergy 80 and thing about trying this one for change. But not really sure, if it´s good idea. And just for "try" is the price really high. I play Forhand with Tenergy 80.
I am using 2,1mm version and I think its better when 1,9mm version it is little bit faster. I think there is no meaning why buy 1,9 version there is so many rubbers that can be fats like the 1,9mm version and they are cheaper. And if you do not want it so fast buy something cheaper but 2,1mm version has same price like 1,9mm and and the fact that it's faster doesn't change quality of control or spin so 2,1mm cersion is really better.
Best rubber of 2019 ? I set my money on the new, and estremely easy-to-play rubber. DNA PRO S in 2.1mm. Enough power, awesome spin and control. Most people seen the S=Soft, and dont try this rubber. But with a sponge of 42degree, it isnt soft... for me is soft under 38 degrees. Try this rubber, and give it a chance....
Hi Dam...the first i am comment.. I have viscaria fh t05 and bh hexer grip...i wnat to change Bh with dignic , what you recomended for me ( D05,D64 or D80 )? Tks
Hey Dan, I am going to order two new sheets of rubbers soon and I was thinking about replacing my tenergy 05 forehand with the dignics 80. (playing dignics 05 on backhand) What I want to ask you is whether the Dignics 80 still has the ability to passively play similarly fast balls compared to the Tenergy 05. Because that is definitely one of the traits I want to keep. Also the ease of play is what I love about the T05. All in all I was generally wondering what the differences between T05 and D80 are and whether the latter is suitable as a forehand replacement of the T05. Any thoughts? :)

But what I wonder is. How is the serve returns?? Feels like you have a nice controll on the return? Or that it grips to hard and "jumps" away?
@tabletennisdaily hey dan could you review Dhs Neo h3 national blue sponge 41 degree and Dianchi rubber, you can do normal offensive and defender shots with it( the guy who won the china national games with 2019 used it )
You're right, especially in table tennis technique is so important. Most players should never buy the same equipment like professionals. But it sells, cause people mistakenly think, if they have the same bat setup as Timo Boll, they will play closer to Timo Boll. Which is obviously false and might even have the opposite effect.
Yeah, my hopes of winning Olympic Gold is long gone. I'll stick with Mark V, it was good enough for champions back then and is still a great rubber for the price. Also, no carbon blades for me, only 100% wood. Feel is more important than speed for me.
