I just started playing Mirage at the end of November, then i stopped b/c I've been backed up on on games. I didnt care for Mirage when i 1st started but now i really like it now. The way you described it in the end - as a viby AC to pull out whenever you feel like doing cool assassin stuff - is exactly how I feel about it. It is surely one of my top go to games to scratch that AC itch now.
It's been 4 years since the last main AC game (I don't count Mirage as a main entry) and people don't seem to care, but everyone went crazy when there was a pause between Unity and Origins
I loved it and it links odyssey and Valhalla together so now it’s a trilogy just like the AC 2 brotherhood and revelations. Which makes it even better.
I swear. I love EVERYTHING about Mirage. The story, the stealth, the combat, the characters, the soundtrack is one of the best in the series, it’s all just so good.
Ubisoft should cut you a commission, because this video just sold me on this game. The last few ACs I couldn’t bring myself to buy and play until a year or two after release, because they always seemed like such a slog. This looks genuinely fun yet modestly/reasonably sized.
I’m loving this game maybe just bc AC is my favorite series but I promise you guys just stop looking for the bad in video games and just enjoy them get immersed and play like a real assassin if yu want the results the hype of games and ppl looking for the bad in games is what makes most game suck for a individual
I think a big issue is that gamers aren’t able to temper expectations. They want games to all be a certain way, but some don’t understand that not every game needs XYZ and I think people should start judging the game based on what it’s doing rather than what it’s not.
I had genuine fun in this game. Feels more like the AC I grew up with. The way it was set up meant I had to use the tools(and wanted to use the tools) to complete missions. A welcome change over just having to spam light attack to complete all missions like Valhalla. The map was smaller and more deliberate rather than a large barren and boring map. Contracts were also so much better than the repetitive stuff in the larger map games imo. The minimal collectibles is also welcome since that’s the most boring part of any game to me. Definitely not perfect but hopefully it’s the start of a positive trajectory in terms of what I enjoy.
The game is a lot better after the recent update it still needs a few more updates but other than that yeah it's not bad. With the size of the map they can easily add new places for us to explore.
What I hate the most in Mirage is teleport assassination abilty, Bare hands zip line, and no double assassination with assassination chain up to 4 enemies
2:35 I think it’s because Ubisoft didn’t really promise us crazy stuff. They basically said here’s the game it’s pretty cool but it’s not that big so we’ll only charge 49,99 for it. I thought that was cool. They kept the game and all the marketing pretty simple
@@PalaDave99dude this game had more passion then the last 2 games, Mirage is not a glorified dlc hell it's probably on par with alot of better entries in the series and it was made of the back of the viking game
@@wwalton I really want to aggree, but I just can't see where that passion went. Don't get me wrong, I played the game, I can feel it was a step in the right-ish direction, but it was designed to be DLC originally and for me it really feels just like that for most of the runtime
in terms of story i couldnt give a shit, but the music is some of the best in the series, i really enjoyed the stealth, i really liked Baghdad; i loved the history aspect, how you learn about it when finding historical places, that was great, with pictures included or art, and credited as well, that was one of the best things about it, and the gameplay felt just fun overall, to me it was always clear that this game was more like testing the waters, that's why they already had plans for more rpg ac games, it's clearly lower budget too, but if this one was a hit they might continue doing them so idk if it will happen, but i definitely enjoyed it, it's not the best in the series at all, in any aspect, but it's the first ac i've finished since ac 4. Oh, and the arabic dub was pretty good too
This game is like that one section of Breaking Bad where Hank is trying to learn how to walk again after becoming crippled and gets really into minerals. No I wont elaborate.
I just want better ai. It feels like the ai in assassins creed hasn’t improved in a significant way since ac2. Stealth isn’t as fun when you know that guards will notice a body and immediately go back to acting as if nothing happened, or that you don’t really need to hide bodies 90% of the time because their paths are scripted and not complex and schedule+ ai driven like mgsv or hitman. This shouldn’t be acceptable in 2023/4
...that's stupid, a stealth game doesn't need complex AI pathing to be good, AC2 isn't exactly the greatest in terms of stealth either Brotherhood and Revelations hold up far better in terms of stealth and the guards in Mirage DO react to dead bodies it's even explained as when such a thing happens their "stress level goes up"
You know, it's the kind of thing that many people want in theory, but in practice you don't want. AI will go and destroy you at every turn, it won’t be fun.
Even if Assassin's Creed Mirage was very much appreciated and also has a lot of faults, the total lack of budget and the fact that they are on the same engines as Valhalla, but I still really appreciate that, I see that the Ubisoft Bordeaux studio clearly loved working on it and that they love the license. I really want to give them another AC to do but with more budget and time.
Was stuck in the exact back ejection thing he did (2:05) but trying to sprint out of a pile of hay maybe 20 times into jumping straight off a roof when I broke free and into deleting the dog shit excuse of a game.
One more slight improvement I think they could do is to increase the distance of long jumps as sometimes i try to jump to a building or rope & it looks & feels like I should absolutely be able to make that jump but Basim misses it by a few inches or by one foot? Whether or not they'll do this is doubtful cause I doubt Ubisoft Bordeaux will find this comment.
I was criticized when this game was released saying it's very easy to defeat bosses but it isn't if u play with higher difficulty it's difficult to complete the missions.
I’ve got maybe 10hours in this game as of today. This is to me, truly Quality over Quantity. The 10 hours I’ve spent in mirage is an absolute blast. I’ve got 100+ in odyssey and Valhalla and i can’t think of anything memorial besides Odysseys world. Odysseys world is truly 10/10. Valhalla world was atrocious
It's funny if the NPC "is not blind" it might will get negative review by gamer. I remember sniper elite did that with real human response time and distance, make the game unbelieveably hard to beat.
I still don't understand why people like this game so much....like it's good and goes back to the roots of parkour and promotes stealth again.....but it should not be the love letter to Ac fans as I believe we deserve way better.....I would love an AC game to introduce free flow parkour and by that I mean it should not hold our hands back in terms of experiment and mastering parkour should take the most amount of time so that it feels like a satisfying progression.....for example in Spiderman game we get assist on web swinging and if it is turned off it may not look as cool but it really needs time to master web swinging and it feels like a challenge and it is realistic and your input has more control in it than the assisted animations and speed previously.....I want a parkour focused Assassin's Creed game where when you jump from a roof top of one building to another there is no ledge stopping you and it is is so free flow you get a sense of scale and immersion...same goes for when you do leap of faith instead of an animation it would be a bitton prompt to do that dive and I want enemy AI to be a lot better it should be a topic of discussion alone in every Ubisoft game as their AI is somehow the worst like so unrealistic and why can't such s big company do something that was done way back in the days of MGS 3 Tbh I love the setting Baghdad as I feel the map is designed for parkour and given a lot of love and care and Ubisoft can make worlds but I want that immersion of being an Assassin in these games just like I felt in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora and that's the best quality of that game that there is a sense of immersion in Pandora
The problem is that the community is demanding and expects too much from new titles, Ubisoft is working on many AC titles at the same time, this game was given the dedication but they did not have enough time to give it more immersion as you say, It is also a very good game for me and a good path for the franchise to take.
@@Usuario05052I agree people complain to much and it’s toxic. When they released revelations people wanted a new assassin they gave them it and they moaned then they wanted open world again Ubisoft delivered and again they moaned. No matter what they complain. I loved this game.
I didn't became a fan of Mirage, I've been with the saga since the beginning and actually enjoyed the change of pace that the most recent AC games took, while I recognize that not everyone agrees - but Mirage wasn't a good AC game in my opinion. We have a backstory of this unlikable new villain that we are suppose to care? For the record this is not a game, this is what was originally set out to be, an AC Valhala DLC. It's basically a marketing stunt to get the old timers like myself enjoying a game with some original elements (stealth, notoriety, the brotherhood) however it does this in such a superficial way that I really didn't care at all for anyone in this game. As you would expect the landscapes and the exploration is top notch, you are transported back in time to 800s Baghdad which is of course always a treat to be able to see these world locations in their past, one of the main reasons that got me into AC in the first place, but that's about it... Characters are boring and irrelevant, the protagonist is voided of any personality with a fake sense of duty that no one knows where it comes from, the parkour and fighting gameplay is sticky and not smooth at all, the plot is a copy paste from the original AC game, as much as I liked the set we already had a similar AC game in an approximate age and geography so might've been a better idea to just do a remake! I am eager for the titles to come specially Code Red since it has been a long request from fans, an AC in Feudal Japan, but this was probably the most unnecessary and irrelevant game in all AC franchise and worst of all we are left with this Basim / Loki character for the foreseeable future which is terrible.... Really hoping Code Red does a good job of revamping this beloved franchise.
I picked this game up a couple weeks ago. If parkour was worse than it is now before, I dread to think of what it was like There's a lot about this game that I really enjoy, but I feel like it has the worst combat and parkour controls that I've seen from this series in a long time But man I love the setting, I love this classic feeling of just running around and grabbing collectibles and getting all of the viewpoints synchronized. I spend all my time kind of immediately doing that which gets me used to the map and the controls. Then finally I start to tackle the story a bit But it does give me a classic feeling that I got when I first played Assassin's Creed 2, and that's just an innate joy in running around the city causing trouble and getting in chases. If the last couple of Grand theft Auto games have my favorite car chases in all of gaming, Assassin's Creed has always had my favorite on foot chases.
Haven't laugh in awhile and watching you accidentally messing up the contract of environmental kill cracks me up! Happy to have discovered this video! Cheers man!
I still feel the game is clunky, often times I’m faster at responding to combat the game itself I find I’m trying to attack but I hit a invisible stamina drain in combat where both I and my enemies just freeze for a few seconds allowing them to get in a strike on me where I can’t perry it only block away. It’s pretty terrible
Hey jayvee I'm really curious why you refuse to upload spiderman 2 gameplay, you mention you played it in October and I've been waiting to see a video but nothing.
I just replayed the game post the new game plus update, i dunno but halfway into the game i got vsync tears and fps drops sometimes on the PS5 in performance mode....
Ghost of tsushima or this? I have a little time of work and trouble deciding which game to play😊. I loved all the classic assassins creed but am afraid of the new assassinations not looking as authentic as they used to.
Honestly in terms of straight up bang for buck Ghost of Tsushima both are great stealth games and are honestly pretty equal in that aspect and I consider Mirage to be up there in terms of AC games but it is very short, I got 40 hours out of it before I beat the game but normal people will probably beat it within the projected time but Ghost of Tsushima is to good to not recommend
I am having a ton of fun playing mirage I am trying to play full stealth mode and its been fun. The combat feels a bit clunky to me n thats my only complain about this game.
I just restarted this today after hearing about the update. I gave up on my first play through at 60% of the main story. The combat, combat animations & finishers look & feel just as boring & uncreative, or am I wrong?
It was there, but didn't reach higher heights - this started at Syndicate through Valhalla, and it was due to the lack of buildings and parkour routes in those games as well as large empty spaces.
I justnrefuse to play another Assassin's Creed after Unity. I liked origins, odyssey, and valhalla - but its not the same. So I'm just done untilnthey make anotherone like it, or atleast the parkour style.

It's been 4 years since the last main AC game (I don't count Mirage as a main entry) and people don't seem to care, but everyone went crazy when there was a pause between Unity and Origins
Just started Mirage after receiving it for Christmas. Its really enjoyable so far. Excited for the future of the franchise😁
This looks genuinely fun yet modestly/reasonably sized.
the game looks even better when you turn up sharpness in the options
I’m absolutely loving AC Mirage right now, the parkour feels so much smoother after the update. Loving the classic AC vibes in the game as well. 👌🏻
I’m loving this game maybe just bc AC is my favorite series but I promise you guys just stop looking for the bad in video games and just enjoy them get immersed and play like a real assassin if yu want the results the hype of games and ppl looking for the bad in games is what makes most game suck for a individual
No
This game is awful.
The game’s really fun, I just wish there were more to do after 100%. I feel like Odyssey got that right with repeatable radiant quests.
I think a big issue is that gamers aren’t able to temper expectations. They want games to all be a certain way, but some don’t understand that not every game needs XYZ and I think people should start judging the game based on what it’s doing rather than what it’s not.
@@tragic_lightexactly 💯
When he said this game was well received a had a good laugh. Great video.
They kept the game and all the marketing pretty simple
this game defo needs a DLC and also more fighting and killing animations .
This game was a DLC by design, doesn't need more content. We need a proper AC game instead, that's not made as a cash grab
@@PalaDave99 it is a dlc game like Spider-Man Miles Morales and since it’s getting a lot more love I believe the next ac could be better
i liked ac mirage but in my opinion there’s just not a lot that you can do after the main and side missions, it’s gets boring after a while
still needs to be on steam
Back-A-Jak should be a cookie
Now only if they applied this in a good AC title.
in terms of story i couldnt give a shit, but the music is some of the best in the series, i really enjoyed the stealth, i really liked Baghdad; i loved the history aspect, how you learn about it when finding historical places, that was great, with pictures included or art, and credited as well, that was one of the best things about it, and the gameplay felt just fun overall, to me it was always clear that this game was more like testing the waters, that's why they already had plans for more rpg ac games, it's clearly lower budget too, but if this one was a hit they might continue doing them so idk if it will happen, but i definitely enjoyed it, it's not the best in the series at all, in any aspect, but it's the first ac i've finished since ac 4. Oh, and the arabic dub was pretty good too
This game is like that one section of Breaking Bad where Hank is trying to learn how to walk again after becoming crippled and gets really into minerals. No I wont elaborate.
That is suprisingly accurate
I love watching people who enjoy Mirage like I do
The carolingian coin heist was really fun had some unique mission aspects
AI will go and destroy you at every turn, it won’t be fun.
you clearly havent played origins or valhalla
@@alexricko3543 Valhalla wasn't really hard because the AI was good it was hard because the AI sucked donkey dick Origins is valid tho
I had a warning and those freaking people at the Bazaar freaking started calling me out and calling the guards. smh. LOL
3:02 caught me off guard
Beautiful graphics.. story was fine too. My problem is that the game had alot of micro stutters on PC
Honestly. The update along with messing around with the controls to have run being tied to R1. Makes the games movement flow so much better
ac mirage felt real good to play. i felt like a real ac game
Was stuck in the exact back ejection thing he did (2:05) but trying to sprint out of a pile of hay maybe 20 times into jumping straight off a roof when I broke free and into deleting the dog shit excuse of a game.
Jayvee selling me on this game. I was gonna drop the series entirelly but this is looking fun
ubi typically puts their games on deep discount shortly after launch, so if it isn't already you should be able to grab it for cheap!
I never buy games when they first come out always wait for the major updates is this worth getting?
Next time the Master Edition goes on sale. It's a little bit more than it should be right now.
No. I love/like Ubi games, but AC Mirage is so boring. I regret buying it
@@pematsering4517 was afraid of hearing that
Buy it just play it to play if Yu constantly look for bad in video games then the game will be bad
No.
Great video thanks for sharing!
Although…if I was playing a drinking game & took a shot every time “back-eject” was said…I’d probably be dead 😆 🥃 💀
AC Mirage is one of the only games that makes me wanna use gadgets and tools and stuff.
Side ejects are even cooler
They must fix sticky robe...just look at he's legs
Just imagine whole team couldn't make cloth phsyc
I’m still waiting for them to put NG+ in Valhalla
It's funny if the NPC "is not blind" it might will get negative review by gamer. I remember sniper elite did that with real human response time and distance, make the game unbelieveably hard to beat.
My question is why does Ubisoft not make AC games co-op like far cry, I feel like it would actually do pretty good and be a cool feature, thoughts?
Excited to play mirage on permadeath mode
I still feel like current games are slower than the first ones but I could be wrong, haven't played them for a long time
They need to give bordeaux more freedom to make more ac games these guys nailed mirage
I still don't understand why people like this game so much....like it's good and goes back to the roots of parkour and promotes stealth again.....but it should not be the love letter to Ac fans as I believe we deserve way better.....I would love an AC game to introduce free flow parkour and by that I mean it should not hold our hands back in terms of experiment and mastering parkour should take the most amount of time so that it feels like a satisfying progression.....for example in Spiderman game we get assist on web swinging and if it is turned off it may not look as cool but it really needs time to master web swinging and it feels like a challenge and it is realistic and your input has more control in it than the assisted animations and speed previously.....I want a parkour focused Assassin's Creed game where when you jump from a roof top of one building to another there is no ledge stopping you and it is is so free flow you get a sense of scale and immersion...same goes for when you do leap of faith instead of an animation it would be a bitton prompt to do that dive and I want enemy AI to be a lot better it should be a topic of discussion alone in every Ubisoft game as their AI is somehow the worst like so unrealistic and why can't such s big company do something that was done way back in the days of MGS 3
Tbh I love the setting Baghdad as I feel the map is designed for parkour and given a lot of love and care and Ubisoft can make worlds but I want that immersion of being an Assassin in these games just like I felt in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora and that's the best quality of that game that there is a sense of immersion in Pandora
Really hoping Code Red does a good job of revamping this beloved franchise.
i might acctually get the game now
I picked this game up a couple weeks ago. If parkour was worse than it is now before, I dread to think of what it was like
There's a lot about this game that I really enjoy, but I feel like it has the worst combat and parkour controls that I've seen from this series in a long time
But man I love the setting, I love this classic feeling of just running around and grabbing collectibles and getting all of the viewpoints synchronized. I spend all my time kind of immediately doing that which gets me used to the map and the controls. Then finally I start to tackle the story a bit
But it does give me a classic feeling that I got when I first played Assassin's Creed 2, and that's just an innate joy in running around the city causing trouble and getting in chases. If the last couple of Grand theft Auto games have my favorite car chases in all of gaming, Assassin's Creed has always had my favorite on foot chases.
Its 40 bucks for all the packs and the game is it worth it?
Haven't laugh in awhile and watching you accidentally messing up the contract of environmental kill cracks me up! Happy to have discovered this video! Cheers man!
That’s right! I’m here early for one of these 🙌🏻
I fkin hate that I ended the game before this update. Absolutely hated the parkour in launch build of this
Hold your stick up, to go up
i love this game so much
I still feel the game is clunky, often times I’m faster at responding to combat the game itself I find I’m trying to attack but I hit a invisible stamina drain in combat where both I and my enemies just freeze for a few seconds allowing them to get in a strike on me where I can’t perry it only block away. It’s pretty terrible
literally beat the game a day before this update.
I love ac and I'm happy that people like this game but I feel like we deserve better than this
All they did want made the parkour fast which is what y’all wanted so in reality the game was fine all along
Hopefully it feels less automatic and more like a platformer.
I just would like Basim to move a little faster
Honestly, I didn't even know this was out...when is the japan one coming?
Ghost of tsushima or this? I have a little time of work and trouble deciding which game to play😊. I loved all the classic assassins creed but am afraid of the new assassinations not looking as authentic as they used to.
Honestly in terms of straight up bang for buck Ghost of Tsushima both are great stealth games and are honestly pretty equal in that aspect and I consider Mirage to be up there in terms of AC games but it is very short, I got 40 hours out of it before I beat the game but normal people will probably beat it within the projected time but Ghost of Tsushima is to good to not recommend
@wwalton thanks! Well that suits me fine coz i dont have a lot of time to play anyway. I think im opting towards AC, cheers
i miss the side ejects from ac1 and ezio trilogy
I want this game on steam... :(
I am having a ton of fun playing mirage I am trying to play full stealth mode and its been fun. The combat feels a bit clunky to me n thats my only complain about this game.
I really wish they add different assassinations animations, the same ways get boring 😭
What about the fight gameplay ! It definitely needs an update too !
BAKI-JECT
they should add more contracts
I just restarted this today after hearing about the update. I gave up on my first play through at 60% of the main story.
The combat, combat animations & finishers look & feel just as boring & uncreative, or am I wrong?
idk why tf they took out back ejects in the 1st place
It was there, but didn't reach higher heights - this started at Syndicate through Valhalla, and it was due to the lack of buildings and parkour routes in those games as well as large empty spaces.
I justnrefuse to play another Assassin's Creed after Unity.
I liked origins, odyssey,
and valhalla - but its not the same. So I'm just done untilnthey make anotherone like it, or atleast the parkour style.
Feels worse during combat you feel dead clunky and parkour for running up walls and climbing feels trash.
Are the clothes physics still trash?
“This is such a gorgeous video game”
Me:watching this on Pakistani internet at 144p 😂😢
