@@ManofRecaps Have you ever watched WRECKED or SANTA CLARITA DIET??? I would LOVEEE to see a recap for both shows, they are so freaking awesome, unfortunatly both cancelled so when you want to watch it you only have around 30 episodes (20minutes per episode) to watch so you can quickly finish it... Even if you wont recap them I definitly reccomend watching them, they are sooooooooo good!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Recapping the shows plot can in no way encapsulate its hilarity though
i had to go back and watch the part of season 3 where they all teach each other lessons
and it felt like almost every moment I clicked on skipping through the episode landed me in the middle of another joke that was building through the whole series
there is no substitute for watching this show
but when you need a quick plot recap
this was great

If you are new to the show, even after all this time, do yourself a favor and watch it ... beginning with the first episode of season 1. It's a continuing story, and it's definitely worthwhile if you suspect that this sort of dysfunctional, wacky humor strikes a chord in you. The first three seasons are best, arguably. (If you plan on watching all seasons then I'd recommend you watch season 4 on Netflix in their "Extras" ... not the regular episodes that Netflix altered after they aired, essentially ruining the whole season and thoughtlessly screwing up jokes and bits.)
This recap video is good, clearly a Herculean task and a labor of love, but a person should treat himself to the entire delightful experience of Arrested Development; there are so many nuances, little easy-to-miss jokes, recurring gags, bizarre moments, fun musical cues, minor characters, silly asides, nods to pop culture-- stuff that cannot possibly fit into a recap. Thanks.
it's also one of these shows that, imo, gains a lot by rewatching it. since you don't recognize many of its running gags and setups the first time you see it.
@@xxxaragon You said it. It's rich with stuff that needs to be discovered after the first viewing. Example: When I first watched it with my partner I didn't even notice the "jump the shark" sight gag with Henry Winkler because it was so subtle and so quick-- one of those 'blink and you miss it' things. My guy said, "Did you see that, that's hilarious!" And when we rewound and I saw it I almost fell off my chair from laughing. They got such a great opportunity there to make a joke that would resound with tons of Gen X and Boomers like myself. Very clever.

If I remember correctly, the show was canceled due to there being a band with the same name and a legal battle over the name
I've never heard that 🤔 from what I've heard the network dropped it because of low viewership but it had a cult following so they eventually got picked up by Netflix & has at least two more seasons. Both were much later on and not very good in my opinion. The show was amazing the first three seasons & should have been left alone.

this is an AMAZING recap. but why oh why do you need to be in the corner like that moving your arms around??? it made me cross eyed! not saying you're not a handsome man or anything like that but it's super distracting and the narration would have been enough. BUT ALL THAT ASIDE, i have never seen this show so brilliantly "summarized!" instant subscriber.
