I know this is kind of a huge assumption. But I think he was abused as a child. Probably sexually. That's an incredibly masculine "boo" he was getting. Not a lot of women there. There's something about an intense masculine energy that he can't handle. Also, it would explain why he seeks the comfort of an older woman who is capable of being more motherly and understanding. I kind of feel bad for the guy because he is obviously very sensitive, and lacks the introspective qualities to see his hypocrisy at times. I choose to see that he was probably hurt at some point in his childhood: Physically or sexually. There's no way a young man like this gets with an older woman, even if she's really hot, because he can really pull as many women as he wants. He's tall, decently handsomse, young and a world-class athlete. Why is he with an older woman? She's providing something that he needs, bad. I wish him health and happiness, and I hope other people realize that this is a person going through a mental crisis. It's easy to hate on the guy, but he really needs compassion.
