If you want to practice capturing handshakes on your wireless network adapter, it's actually possible to do so using a single ESP8266 device. Using a D1 Mini, we'll generate both sides of a Wi-Fi handshake, simulating a device joining a Wi-Fi network nearby. Hackers can use this to practice capturing handshakes and cracking them.

I can't see any packets in wireshark after adding the filter. The code is definitely being flashed to the device but I'm not sure if it's correctly sending out packets. Channel is correct too

yes. Also can CTRL+C on file/folder then CTRL+SHIFT+V on terminal to paste then can get full path files.
Lets say I flashed my ESP8266, is there way to tell whats there before I erase it? any way to import the flashed code back into arduino to see whats loaded?
