Drawing is a skill. You can't expect to pick up a bass and and instantly lay out good music, same as drawing.
I agree that starting out with something like gesture is more important than anatomy. For me, I can get lost in the measuring and proportions so much that the drawing becomes stiff and lifeless. Use references! Find artists that you like and are inspired from! Don't focus on creating a style; that will come naturally as you draw what you like.
A signature is super important. Sometimes I thought my art wasn't good enough, or that signing my art was pretentious, but especially with AI it is super important to show the world that your art is your own. Respect yourself and your art!
The MOST important part of making art is doing what you love. If you're having fun, that's what will motivate you to make more art!

I get 80% of the satisfaction from the first 20% of a drawing. I love creating something from nothing. While finishing a drawing can be meditative, I get increasingly less feedback from each individual mark as the drawing becomes more complex. But above all, the most fun part is looking at your drawing after you're done, with your hands at your hips. Drawing is hard, which is what makes it so fulfilling!
