I remember when he came into power. The country was in ruins, people were divided, jobless, drugged and exploited by the criminal gangs roaming around en masse. It's simple as that. Ukraine should've taken their decisions in context and not foolishly take sides. Putin saved Russia from the decline in the 90s and I'm sure he didn't like to take this decision but was forced to by the circumstances. Putin was right in his analysis that NATO is an aggressive hostile force that deceived Russia, and that has been taking steps to prepare for a war. Ukraine was a step too far for him, and since all peaceful means failed he decided to strike preemptively, even though it's a huge risk for Russia and him personally, and it's an extreme measure. It's simple as that. Ukraine should've taken their decisions in context and not foolishly take sides. Putin saved Russia from the decline in the 90s and I'm sure he didn't like to take this decision but was forced to by the circumstances. We could have peace if Ukraine chose to be neutral like Finland.

@@davidadegoju588 Ekaterina the Great and Peter the Great took many influences from Anglo-Saxons and Germans and were dependent on them. Stalin then and Putin today are completely on their own. I am not against influences but when these influences start to think something about themselves, you need to show them their place. Which Stalin did and Putin does today.
