I enjoy your videos they are very useful for listening & vocabulary. I can understand them but I cannot speak like that. What should I do?
I am in exactly the same boat. It’s perfectly normal. I was told and have found the best way is to go to a quiet room of your house - garage, bathroom etc and play and pause the video. Say out aloud again and again each and every sentence. It actually does work. The problem is, that your brain is not used to you verbally speaking it. After a few goes of this things get better and better. These videos are perfect for it. Also, when you see the English translation, pause it, write it down in french, say it aloud and then compare. The other good way I’ve found is buy a block of the cheapest lessons on italki. I’ve found the “el cheapo” teachers are perfect for just general chit chat… the expensive teachers can come later on.
