I have Aquagenic Urticaria and it’s extremely painful. I have to take 5-10 minute showers, sometimes less. Rashes appear quickly and it makes miserable. However, I am able to drink water, but I have to be careful about how much I am consuming as it can burn on the inside as well. It’s hard to explain that feeling. But I simply take shots to help me live my life and touch water on occasion, but it’s not the best solution. It’s such a rare condition that not a lot of people are aware of so this was a good example of what it’s like.
5 - 10 minutes? thats like triple as long as a normal person takes a shower. I have aquagenic pruritis and i have to take like 1 minute showers
Can you please elaborate on the experience and the treatments you use and what are in them. I’m doing a project on this condition on how an innovation can be created to help resolve this problem and enhance current medical technology. This would really help me!

I did a project in science class about a genetic disease and the one I had to research was angel man's syndrome. However most of the information I found talked more about how this disease happens and very little about what the symptoms are. could you maybe do a video on that?

Im so sad fr the people that have to live with this.
Sadly, I have this. It started around 10 years old. Every time I showered, my skin grew itchier and more red until the point where the pain is so sharp it feels like acid. Wiping the moisture away helps me but the lingering effect is still there.
That’s wat I have it started when I was 11 a year ago and even since then it gotten worse and my hives come quicker then when it did

Please do a video on a auto-amune condition called P.A.N.D.A.S it is a very horrible and life ruining disease. I have had it for 7 out of 12 years of my life. I have gotten many treatments but it NEVER works. And it started when my mom/dad let me outside when I was really little and then I got bitten by a tick and then after that I got limes disease and then I got P.A.N.D.A.S from the limes. Btw the limes was inactive and was cured about a year ago yay! But I want the rest to go away now. D; I also have the worss possible strain of the condition.Guys please like so he can see!

I am allergic to water (only after shower I get allergic, no rash, redness, pimples, or scales appear on my skin) The sensitivity lasts from 30 minutes to an hour, but the feeling is very painful, like whole your body is being pricked with needles at one time. It is very painful and I became tachycardic l always cry. But the strange thing is that I can drink water and I can cry and wash my face and hands without pain but if all my body touch the water the allergic comeeven if i didnt use soap or any thing .

This is technically an impossible theory about the water allergy, and no one should ever worry about water, but it's just an imagined hypothesis. You needed to worry about the water only if you're a fire, since the water extinguishes the fire.

I don’t have aquagenic urticaria, but I do have dermatographic urticaria which basically makes so it looks like my skin is having an allergic reaction each time I scratch myself

SylenDraws If you have an itch somewhere and you can’t scratch yourself, it can be a helpful alternative to slap the area instead, and, if necessary, do it over and over again until the itch goes away.

I am allergic to water when it's being poured all over my body. I'm okay with drinking it but I feel extremely uncomfortable when I'm in the shower or swimming. What's worst is that my skin dries up, and my face gets red since my face is the most sensitive against water, and I also ended up getting rashes. It isn't bad tho, I don't get any problems in my inner organs.

Edit after 11 months: Hello everyone! I'm definitely doing well and I am definitely sensitive to water on my skin. I don't have the condition on the video. I understand the people who didn't believe me because its rare ^^ I can shower well now unlike before but still end up getting inchy or get rashes. I love water but it seem to hate me :(

Let’s go, I have something rare! The only thing is- I don’t get them when I’m out in the rain I think, it makes itch for a couple of seconds, but for showers it itches for way longer and itches a lot around the chest, back, and front. No where else, in pools it happens mostly in the back

I am a bit allergic to water. When I shower, my skin becomes red on some spots with area of 2-3 cm^2. They are a bit itchy but they disappear after 20 minutes

I always tought about being allergic to water
there are two types of allergy to water: aquagenic urticaria and aquagenic pruritus. you spoke about urticaria, so the signs are visible, but I have the type called pruritus and so does a youtuber called Niah selway who makes videos about our condition. pruritus is the type where nothing shows up on the skin but it is still unbelievably painful and can last for up to 5 hours. I am not allergic to drinking water but my skin is highly allergic to is and sensitive to other things to. I really hope they find some sort of relief soon because the medication I use helps slightly but isn't a full relief and I still itch alot, I would love for others to be releaved too because it would be great not to be worried about the rain or having a shower. thank you for this video though because it's great that others can learn about it x

I have it but mines not that bad. I just get itchy hives on my upper body whenever I sweat, take a shower, or go swimming. Usually taking a few zyrtecs (allergy medicine) makes it go away for the most part though. I can drink water and experience no symptoms, but when I go in it that's when I get the hives.

My mom is allergic to water, but it isn't as bad (I think it's because she used to often go to solariums). She only gets red spots when she takes a long bath. They aren't itchy or anything and they disappear quickly.

My friend is allergic to water, but more body fluids and fast touched water. Like, if you sprayed them with water or they were in the rain then they’d get a really bad rash.
Being allergic to body fluids, mainly sweat, means she can hardly exercise. It’s hard bc she wants to join sports and play in gym but she can’t bc her body will break out.
She’s had the allergy from a young age and as a kid she scratched her rashes and it’s resulted in really bad scars and permanent rashing. It’s really bad but this video helped me understand more about her condition!

I think I have a portion of it, every time i wash my hands, take a shower, or take a bath, within seconds ONLY my hands get super wrinkly and itchy to a point that I can't even find a way to scratch them, because if I scratch them with my finger nails, my skin from my hands start coming OFF
