Nice video, hope you recover swiftly. Like you say, there could have been a worse time to catch it. Good luck with the training - I'm at London with a similar time goal so will be following along to see how your build up goes 👍
@@gregrunsultras thank you!! And thanks for watching. I’m a week ahead in real time so about to start week 5 - build phase. Best of luck with your training too!
Been there with covid. The heart rate took about a month to settle back to normal for me. Stick to your HR zones and trust the process. It'll come back to you. Theres plenty of time before the big day yet. 👍
As silly as it sounds, getting COVID now might end up a blessing vs. getting it for marathon week. My HR was high for a couple of weeks following COVID. Don’t overthink it ❤
I took a week off running when I got covid. Even after that, my heart rate was high at easy effort. It's not worth putting stress on your heart too early.
@@rodginator i know what you mean. I did wonder even if I should have gone out and done that long run? Lucky to have a recovery week this week with almost all easy running and reduced mileage.
Well done mate getting it done ✅🎯😁👍
@@Matt.Doughty Thanks Matt!!
Text on the sleeve is great, Exactly what I’ll be doing over the next 11 weeks - Getting It Done!

@@TheRegularRunner this is it, still plenty of time and many training sessions to get to where I want to be. Better now than closer to the Marathon.

@@Mack.Tracks Thanks Mack.
That’s my thinking, hopefully that’s my illness out the way now for this training block.

What’s your target time? I’m one of the 3:30 pacers so will look out for you on race day.
@@Asmith198399 Hi. Thank you!
3:45 is my target. If somehow I managed to massively exceed my expectations on race day I would be able to run with you.
