This was so beautiful. Your professionalism in filming was astounding. No jumps, no jerks, just smooth editing of all the shots. It brought tears to my eyes to see the beauty of these gardens. My okasan grew up in Kyoto and never was able to go back after she came to the United States. She must have missed Kyoto so much. I loved the fading of the people from some of the scenes; one moment there and the next gone. It reminds us that these gardens have always been and always will be while we are merely temporary visitors. Ghosts who wander into their beauty and then fade from memory. 👘🌸🎍💮🗻📿❤

Did it in Winter , the only time when it is not overwhelmed by Japanese tourists , it was truly beautiful
when I visited the park of the Imperial palace , I got bundled in a group of six
the lady in charge told us than since we were such a small group and his Imperial majesty was not in residence ,would we like to visit the palace itself and the private garden
we nodded with alacrity , it was grand , only time I saw gardeners trimming pine tree with tiny scissors ,
there was the hut where the Tea ceremony took place
a leaflet by a direct descendant of Sen no Rikyū stated that , the founder was inspired by the Christian ceremony of Eucharisty
integrating the concept of equality and simplicity it into the old Japanese tradition
Drinking matcha while looking at the garden is very calming.
