Texas gardener here. Those red flowers at 7:10 are Turk's Cap. Malvaviscus arboreus. Texas is within their native range. Hummingbirds adore them. The yellow berries 10:08 are Melia azedarach Chinaberry. It's a non-native invasive. The yellow tree at 12:10 is another specimen. They get a lot larger. The stuff that looks like corn 11:19 is Arundo Donax. Highly invasive in wet areas. Non-native. 18:40 Bald Cypress tree.
It's wonderful when you see a city make such improvements, and even nicer when you take us thru the river walk to enjoy with you. THANK YOU for sharing.
So glad I found your channel again. You are calming in a beautiful way. World is just crazy. I've been fighting depression. Thanks sweety for sharing your world with us
So many plants and flowers to learn about. I think the stamen flower could be Abutilon or a small bushy hibiscus. But I couldn't see the leaves so I'm not sure. Or it may be a California fuchsia or humming bird flower. I couldn't see it close enough.
Ausia we missed each other! I was just there yesterday morning on 12/1/23!! Dang I would have been so excited had I seen you. Walked the same path that you did. Darn it! I've been a fan of yours for several years and have wanted to meet you so bad. I was there visiting my daughter and her boyfriend for a week. Maybe next time huh? Sending you love and hugs. Stay safe.
Was stuck in Kerrville for a week a few years ago for some RV repairs (highly recommend Lemeilleurs!). The city runs a lovely, quite large campground, the Kerrville-Shreiner Park. Very nice. Ended up enjoying our time there.
Apparently you're from Texas. There's so many wonderful towns in the central Texas Hill Country area. Some of my favorites are New Braunfels Bandera Bernie Wimberley San Marcos
There are alligators spotted in this river at times!!! There’s many rivers and lakes in Texas that contain alligators as far north as Fort Worth Texas!!! And those massive trees are bald cypress!!
Kerrville's park and river trail looks inviting and pretty. Thanks for the look. Glad you visited it for us. I sure like the look of the town but never have been there in person. We were up in the NE of TX in some of our college years.
There also Fredericksburg got the Nimitz museum Enchanted rock anime day trip to that park good downtown area and the bakeries worth the walk lbj ranch I like the cypress trees are at that park in Kerrville jumped into the river as well as a the missions in San antonio
Love you and all' dearly, but just can't understand why so many of you 'so-called-nomads' want to totally separate yourselves from your so called 'loved-ones-blood-family' and desire total strangers who you meet up with and suddenly 'accept THEM as you besties and family??? For the life of me, it just doesn't make sense as to the WHY this can bring you more comfort than Blood! Any hoo, we truly do LOVE you ALL, but oh how it saddens us... "God Loves to share what is His, but most don't have time to look away from mammon or T.V."...
Well, you know the old saying you can't choose your family but you can choose your friends 🤔 that might have something to do with it, seeing how some don't always get along with their families
Wonderwalk ❤
Really enjoyed this . Have a great day
I think the yellow flowers are a type of dogweed.
Hi Ausia & Jeff!! ~M

Love that fence and native plants. Yep, the flowers and vegetation are beautiful too..

Very beautiful walk thanks for taking us along.
I had forgotten how green that part of Texas can be. I lived in San Antonio back in the 80s and have actually swam in that river.
Ohh I love the water lilies so pretty❤
So much fun hanging out with you guys. ❤️
Blessed travels always
Thanks 😊🙏💕
That evergreen tree is a cypress tree.
They are found innthe swamplands, especially in Louisiana.

You should head down to New Braunfels and go to Landa park. Beautiful park with a hiking trail in the canyon.
I grew up on lake Dunlap in New Braunfels, the Guadalupe and comal rivers are so beautiful.

Can’t find out how to remove the products off the screen from my casted video 😢
The products you tag appear as an overlay on the video. If you’re watching from your tv, 1/3 of the video is covered. No way to remove it.
Hmm 🤔
cool vid on travels thanks lee

Ausia alligators are not common in the Guadalupe river but do exist in it, the latest one reported was May of 2023.
