I have to admit that I got a bit teary-eyd when you first opened the book - the beauty of the pages, the little stories with each one (like yours about your very first ribbon embroidery sample!) and the time, thought and effort each person put into their works of art really touched my heart. I've never learned to sew and am so envious of those who can! Your comments about trying anyway have really encouraged me, so I just might give it a whirl. Is the journal put together before the pages are decorated or after? I've never done a "round robin" but have heard of them.

Just wondering how long it took until you received it back. I had seen an art journaling book being sent out but never knew the same thing is being done with other types of crafting. Do you video tape the pages of the other books you've participated in? You could post it after it's completed to give details on your techniques. You are so talented. Hi Niki :) the journal was originally started back in about January/February and I received it back a little later than expected, it should have been back in around October because only 8 ladies ended up joining. I HAVE WATCHED THIS NOW 4 TMES!! Love this sort of thing, we call it a "Round Robin" over here in the UK and I was involved in a fair few. Did you (and those involved) always insure when posting? Mind you, perhaps your postal system is not as bad as ours?! I was always terrified my books would get lost! This is fabulous Jeanette and what a lovely pre Christmas gift. Hugs June x
Oh my '4 Times'!!!! but yes I think it deserves that, lol ;) We did indeed insure there was a specific posting date, we had to keep to a schedule and notify if there were any delays. We also had to ensure we would follow through with the swap regardless, I mean we couldn't enter the swap if we didn't intend to finish it. Most ladies used the postal tracking so that we knew when things were delivered :) It's gorgeous isn't it June and I would so love to do another :) tfw
