Sailors through the ages found out that water goes bad about two weeks into the journey, so they decided that alcohol is a suitable way to disinfect it, so they started making drinks like grog (water + rum + spices) and drank it constantly, they were crews of alcoholics that were in constant need of a drink. For the common sailor of the day, living conditions were bad regardless of being on a pirate ship or a “ legitimate” ship. The Captains and Officers on “legitimate” ships were often tyrants. Literally sat here and ate an orange as I watched this xD
Sounds like a nightmare life. Glad I live in the 21st century! Love this channel, very interesting topics they cover.
A pirate walks into a bar and the bartender looks at him and says "excuse me sir but there is a steering wheel hanging down by your crotch area" and the pirate said "argh it's driving me nuts"
That's good.
👏 👏 👏
Aaarrgghh! You're killing me 🤣🤣 my ribs hurt and I can't breathe 🤣🤣 🤣 ROFL 🤣
Well you know they were shaving pirates belly’s with a rusty razor so it isn’t very hygienic
And they only shaved early in the morning
Wayhay and up the tetanus rises! Wayhay and up the tetanus rises! wayhay and up the tetanus rises!

He hosts a late night show

It's awesome that you got to be on these pirate ships and take notes on all this stuff, amazing!!!
I don’t understand he keeps telling me to subscribe every video but I’m already subscribed
How was the hygiene on pirate ships.. what are you kidding me it smelled like rum and arm pits 😱
katina whitley and sodomy
I think it was worse than that.
Rumpits!!!!!.....I think I need a few lemons and a wash after watching this! (Shudders) yo ho ho not a pirates life for meeeeee
@ katina: So, if I hear you correctly, you're saying it heavily resembled a college frat house... 😆
And ass 😄🤣
Sailors through the ages found out that water goes bad about two weeks into the journey, so they decided that alcohol is a suitable way to disinfect it, so they started making drinks like grog (water + rum + spices) and drank it constantly, they were crews of alcoholics that were in constant need of a drink. Plus the hard tacks that were made in that time are probably still edible today.
What's a pirate's favorite fast food restaurant?
Rrrrrrrrbys...lol
Good one
Isn't that place owned by The Crusty Crab?
s
Boa Boy right next to one of the kid and the pirate movie
I heard that they prefer them golden aaaarches.
The R. Kelly referrence though......wow, hahahaha.
"You hear that? Somewhere R Kelly just liked this video🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣wow, man. That was great!!!
This is the history I love to hear about! Now I am going to brush my teeth.
For the common sailor of the day, living conditions were bad regardless of being on a pirate ship or a “ legitimate” ship.
The Captains and Officers on “legitimate” ships were often tyrants. Pirate ships were much more democratic in their leadership.
So, for many folks, being a Pirate was a very viable option.
What in the name of scurvy... 💀
They treated personal hygiene like trash, but made sure the whip was spotless....???😂
Not R Kelly 😂😂😂😂😂 its the funny Comentary for me
We are all lucky to live in the time that we do. Anytime even pre 1950 was a whole different ballgame, and I'n not referring to not having the comforts like big screen tv's I am talking about just earning a living, being treated in a fair manner, all of the wars (which really are a living hell), polio, etc etc. At almost 52 I think about this stuff and am blown away at how soft so many of our 20 and 30 somethings are and how they take so much for granted, and feel that so many things are their "right", (which they are NOT), etc etc. In just the 70s and 80s we were brought up with the general rule that "if you want it you will have to earn it", and even high school stoners that took 4 classes of wood or auto shop knew they would be blue collar guy's for blue collar pay. Now our system say's "anyone can go to College" and a laundry list of other BS that the system expects the tax payers to just pay for. I love my Country 100%, but I believe the lack of tough love is not helping things.
This is my all-time favourite history channel! I use these videos for my classes! I would love to see a video on the gold rush town Barkerville!
Love this channel!!!
Pirate punishments would be an interesting topic. Keel hauling for example...Yikes!
Imagine how strong immunity they used to have. Nowadays we are susceptible to flu and allergies. It's truly suprising that they survived in that environment.
Love the R. Kelly burn! Lmao
you know you're a disney when you immediately go "it's yo ho yo ho, guys".
what do want to be when you grow up son?
"imma be a disney"
Major props to One Eyed Willie and the crew of the Inferno. You did well, maties!
I love this channel! They always seem to hit on topics that keep me awake at night wondering about! (That was a poorly constructed sentence. But you get the point!)
This channel should have more than 2 mill tbh!
I love your videos, not only educational also hilarious! Could you please make a video about infanticide, illegitimate children and single mothers in the victorian era, it is a fascinating topic! Thank you
They could do a video about the infanticide of the Victorian Era compared to the infanticide of today's western age
Why did I watch this before I had breakfast!
I started watching DURING breakfast.
Luckily I'm a fast eater, so I got through the meal before things got too grotty.
To train yourself not to lose hunger by this. I could eat without problems, I personally only struggle when seeing a public execution in the news while eating >:(
EDIT: In german news they showed that black guy getting publicly executed by that police man, that was cruel and literally a fkin public execution
Because you touch yourself at night
I LOVE your channel! I usually give the videos a "like" even before I finish watching it! And of course I'm subscribed!
Oof! 😷💀 That R. Kelly shade though.
Can you explain Why he threw shade
@@imakitty-cattrustme1617 r kelly pissed on a minor girl

I’d love to see a Blackbeard bio video for real though. Great content also!
"Alex, I'll take random youtube recommendations for a thousand please."
Cheers! 🍻
the Black Pearl seemed clean enough
Final Generation it's Disney what do u expect?
@Okaro Shinn shut up??
@@zahirsabra1971 Why tell him to shut up? Weirdo.
This is my favorite you tube channel!
The thing which most intrigued me was the fact that 'pirates didn't know swimming', sounds same like 'a soldier who doesn't know how to fight in the battlefield' 😇
Loved the R Kelly quip. Made a great video amazing.
